This is my favorite bookstore ever. Aaron is not just a book seller, he is a friend. You know that scene at the beginning of Beauty and the Beast where she goes to that book guy and he knows her personally and can remember what she has and hasn't read and what she likes? That's how going to Aaron's feels for me. He genuinely cares and will stock things of a certain genre more if he knows his regulars like it. He has the best selection overall, even better than Barnes and Noble, in my opinion. At B&N (which I still love) it can be harder to find things that are older or not as popular. At Printed Garden, he has a wide variety of things, both new and used, and I cannot remember the amount of times I have gone in just to browse, only to find a used copy of a book I had been trying to hunt down. He gives equal attention to history, science, and fiction, and his kid's area can't be beat. There is truly something magical about this place. It's obvious he loves books, and he appreciates others who do as well. Whenever I can, I buy my books from him. He supports other local businesses, and is always willing to help them. It's just the perfect...
Read moreI was a bit disappointed coming here. Before getting to the negative, this is what I liked: Their kids' selection is great, and that's the best part of the store. Everything was priced well too and their service was amazing, enough to make me feel a little bad about posting a bad review...
What I didn't like was how unorganized the store was. The books were loosely grouped by genre, but that's it. Nothing was in order - everything was just scattered randomly and it made it really tiresome to find something specific. They also didn't have an inventory system to check if they have a specific book. These are REALLY important things to have in a bookstore, but they failed there. The selection was also pretty poor and random. They had some of the big, trending books, but everything else was random or obscure.
Overall, I'd recommend going to another used bookstore. This just can't compete with other bookstores in the area and is very lackluster. It's a rural bookstore in...
Read moreLovely bookstore with a great selection and excellent management. As an avid reader who has bought everything from the Printed Garden from graphic novels (I recommend "The Ghost Keeper" by Johanna Taylor) and comic books (you can't go wrong with "Wallace the Brave" by Will Henry) to indie novels (I've most recently picked up "Max in the Capital of Spies" by Steve Capone) and the unclassifiable (technically "The Storyteller's Handbook" by Elaine Hurst has a classification, I'm just drawing a blank right now) I can confidently say that this book store is awesome. It stocks an excellent selection (or can get anything you want pretty fast) and Aaron really knows his stuff if you need help finding your next great read. As a local author myself, the Printed Garden is so good at engaging with the community, hosting events, and just generally supporting us local artists who are living on a nickle and a dream. Ten out of ten,...
