I called this place to see if they repaired Rug Doctors. The lady that answered the phone said yes and I proceeded to tell her what was wrong, "water pump" was bad. She told me they can fix it and I asked her how much it would cost she told me they repaired another one for $60, So I said great and took it in. It took them several days to call me and tell me they couldn't get the part when I told them from the beginning the Rug Doctor website has it for $41. They then call me back saying that if I wanted to order the part and bring it in they would install it? Why would I order the part when that is their job to fix the machine? She also said they would charge me $50 to put the part in plus, $99 to " service the machine. I'd would have spent about $200 total to get it running when you can get a new one on eBay for $300. When I said I'll just come get it because it's nowhere near the $60 they quoted me and I'd rather buy a new one being more cost effective, she tried to sell me a new carpet cleaner and proceeded to tell me for 10 minutes the Amazon reviews about it. I told her no thanks I'll come get it and hung up the phone. Then she calls me telling me that my machine is in pieces and that they would need to charge me if they wanted me to put it back together! Ridiculous! I'm the one that told them what was wrong from the beginning, it was their choice to take it apart. Now I have a machine that's in pieces and now I get to figure out how to put it back together because they wanted to jump the gun! I would recommend this place to anyone! Horrible customer service, upselling, and obviously incompetent are their...
Read moreI brought my vacuum to store that claims to be a repair shop. (Oreck) I dropped the vacuum off Monday and had to call them Thursday to check the status. They told me that to fix my vacuum I needed a new motor. Parts and Service would be over $200. They recommended to buy a new powerhead (200+) or to buy a new vacuum. I only went to this place for the location.
Then I called AAA Sew and Vac. My mom suggested them and I shouldn't have worried about the extra 10 minute drive. Well worth it. They were very friendly and knowledgeable and were able to give me price quotes on the spot. From my description he told me it probably needed a new belt- $1 and possibly some other things. If it was a motor, it would probably be between $30-$80. Already much less than the other shop. I picked up my vacuum from Oreck and drove straight to AAA. When I brought the vacuum in, even though he was a week out, he took it apart and fixed it on the spot in 20 minutes and it only cost me $25. These guys know what they are doing and they are honest salespeople /repairmen. He saved me lots of $$ and time. Made my day! I highly...
Read moreI initially selected AAA Sew and Vac based on its reviews and I have not been disappointed with that decision even once!
I was in uncharted waters shopping for a Central Vac system when I walked in, late one evening. The staff were more than happy to take the time to get to know me and my project, and then to educate me on the options. No pressure, just useful and accurate information. Five stars!
When it was time for installation, I was again impressed as the installer guided me through the best locations for the intakes. They started and finished as promised, cleaned up after themselves (one of only three subs I can say that for) fire sealed the holes they made, and did not fail to follow-up on the last intake that was pending installation of the kitchen cabinets. Five stars!
And then there was service after the sale! Assistance with attachments I did not initially purchase until I was certain that I was happy with the system. Again, 5 stars!
I have rarely been this happy with the results of an install. If you are considering shopping here, do yourself a favor,...
