I'm not sure where to even begin here. From the moment we pulled up to the drive thru intercom, it was a mess. Two employees were in the back, one hiding behind equipment and the whole back area reeking of marijuana. We were told to wait a minute, so we sat at the intercom for a while before finally being asked what we wanted, just to tell our order and then silence. No response to our order. Moments later, the same person comes out the back door and tells the employees in the back that they had orders that needed to be done and to come back in. He came back to the intercom and asked what we wanted again. We ordered, pulled around and waited for the longest while to receive our order - just to not receive the juices that were supposed to come with two kid's meals.
The whole interactions were poor. There was no please, or sorry, or trying to explain that things were slow for x, y, z, nothing. Everything was a impolite statement and even when we were finally handed our food it was 1) window opened 2) food handed to us 3) nothing said, not even a "thanks for coming". I'm not sure how this area manages to do it, but the Burger Kings all around here are awful every time. Who is running these? Do they realize they are this bad? These either need serious corporate intervention, or just do BK a favor and close the doors. Because at this point, after 4 different BKs all being awful on the first try, I'm done with BK. Sounds like this King's rule is...
Read moreGather round as I share my story of the most bizarre BK experience I've had thus far! Scene opens with a very greasy floor that you were able to skate across graciously to the front counter where one would expect to be greeted. There we stood, unwelcomed as we browsed the menu deciding what to order, after about 5 minutes we were finally recognized to be present and asked what we would like. We skated over to the soda machine where we were puzzled as to whether or not there were any drinks as 95% of the screen remained dark, leaving about 2 options available, finally there were some options to choose from, we get our drinks and try to find a seat, out of an entire empty restaurant we found 1 of 4 tables available, 1 said it was cleaned but was not the case. We wait for our food which surprisingly was correct, we ask for ketchup, ranch, and honey mustard and were told they only have ranch, not even ketchup, for our fries. As we ate we noticed our surroundings to be much dirtier than it appeared to be. As we were eating the employees gathered round for domino's which was delivered to the store. Now weary of the quality of the food, being that the employees didn't even want to eat it, I decided to stop while I was ahead and threw the rest out and left, not before, of course, taking a crown from the abundance found around the store and left feeling much less...
Read moreI waited in line behind two cars twenty minutes to get to the menu boards. One there I was asked to Hold Please. I order 4 whoppers 1 with cheese and heavy onions, 1 with no pickles, 2 regular, 4 chicken nuggets, 2 fries and 2 cokes. I was asked to pull forward. I pulled up behind the two cars that were in front of me for twenty minutes. I waited 10 more minutes before I got to the window. I was mad but the drive thru cashier seemed untrained and frustrated. She said I am sorry, we don’t have Coke. The look in her face said she was put some where understaffed and not properly trained. I felt sorry for the cashier and told her to make the drinks orange soda and it was ok. She smiled and got the drinks. Several minutes later she handed me the bags. It was 1:09 when I got in the line and 1:42 when I left for home with the lunch. I reached for the fries, they were cold. It took ten minutes to get home. I unpacked the burgers, 1 was marked cheese but had no onions, the other three all had pickles (6 each), I got the 4 chicken nuggets for the kids but there were only three boxes of nuggets. I used to think DeBary BK was the worst but maybe not. I had to give one of the burgers to the kids. You know what happens when 3 hungry 5 year old children get something different than the other, they whine and fuss. One of the worst visits...
