Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Sanford

My DAUGHTER BIRTHDAY was yesterday. She turned 12 years old. Mind you my daughter chose this place because she wanted to ride the horse, and for them to give her a birthday shoutout. I said wherever you want to make your day special. So I called and was placed on the wait list EARLIER that day around 3. Dinner wasn’t until 7. I told them 13 ppl. ITS MY DAUGHTER BIRTHDAY

At 7:12 pm 11 ppl were there, including me. One lady said we still need to wait I said why? we are ONLY waiting on 2 ppl. She said oh, okay, we will seat you all. WE STILL WE WAITING!! 4 MORE of our guests walked in at 7:35 & we were still waiting!!

Sit down around 7:45 and mind yall. It’s ALOT of kids but we have 6 ADULTS! Kids are well behaved. We are the parents so we’re going to make this easy as possible.

We have two waiters Jessica (WHICH IS THE BEST & I KNOW SHE LOVES WHAT SHE DOES) & Devin. Jessica takes our drinks and Devin takes the kids. We even made it easier to where MOST kids got sprite & ALL KIDS MEALS. Next they are taking our order. Jessica took the adults and Devin took the kids. I IMMEDIATELY knew this was going to be a problem. How? Devin didn’t interact friendly with the kids. She didn’t ask my daughter her name. She just wasn’t bubbly. While taking the order 2 of the adults went over the order with Devin 3XS!!! Guess what? After taking our order she disappeared for like 15 minutes and came back and asked AGAIN for ALL THE KIDS ORDER. I was in disbelief!! Why hasn’t the order been put in yet??? Mind you the bread is cold, the kids have had 2 refills at this point. Meanwhile, Jessica kept coming back being really friendly to us. Asking do we need anything, which was awesome.

Yall know pre teen & teen girls loves pictures, so all the girls got up and went to the bathroom. Mind you it’s like 9 of them. I went to the bathroom, took their pictures and EVERYONE SAT DOWN IN THE SAME SPOT THEY WERE ORIGINALLY sitting in. They tried not to but we told them no because the food had came out at this point. SO WE MADE THINGS EASY FOR THEM! GUESS WHAT? All the kids are getting their food and ONE KID doesn’t have their food! IM LIVID! How do you go over something 4+ times & STILL NOT GET IT RIGHT? You didn’t count the kids you had? Count how many orders you have? And said she messed up reading her own notes!!! Like whatttttt???? Of course I asked for a manager. Kristin came over and said “I’m sorry we will get her food right out” & walked away like there was NO REAL PROBLEM with this matter!!!

I’m thinking to myself?? That’s it?? She’s looking at the kids eat. You NOW just putting in her order and her food may not get here until AFTER everyone eats! I’m not kidding yall do you know NOBODY came back to our table for the NEXT 30 minutes!!! Like we did something wrong!!

Unacceptable! I told Kristin the manager that my daughter celebration was RUINED! In the meantime of us eating why didn’t ANYONE come sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY? Why didn’t she at least give the Mom of the child a coupon, free appetizer next trip, something off on her bill? SOMETHING MORE than I’m sorry and we will bring her food out. Her food came when EVERYONE was done!! I’m sorry again came is what we received. Her Mom said I shouldn’t have to pay for her meal. This is when Kristin so Oh no I’m going to take that off your bill. WHY DIDNT TOU SAY THAT BEFORE????

I told her that I was going to write a review and when I said that do yall know while all of a sudden while we’re about to LEAVE. Kristin came to me and gave me a gift coupon to me and the Mom of the daughter. Devin apologized but the DAMAGE & BEHAVIOR had already been done! I accepted her apology though.

I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THIS TEXAS ROADHOUSE. I’ve came him plenty of times. Even celebrated my son birthday here. I’ve came for my little cousin birthday, even holidays. THEY WILL NOT GET MY MONEY!!

This one came down to service. But whatever reason the server was not interested in visiting the table for 20 minutes at a time. There were only two other tables in the section that had people seated and it was just me and my daughter. Our order was not complicated. It just seemed like the server was not going to be bothered to do her job. To adjacent tables in her section had people that were beginning to look at me like they were getting irritated that she wasn't there either. The food came out fairly quickly, and was perfect. No complaints about the kitchen whatsoever. Requested a to-go box from the foh manager that dropped by to check on us after we were done eating, and I implied that we weren't exactly happy with the service but otherwise I didn't have any intention of raising much of a fuss. Requested to go box and after another half hour of waiting for the to go box and to pay the server finally showed up without it to-go box and I requested a manager at which point she said okay and grabbed the receipt and my card walked off charged me for the bill told me that the manager would be there in a minute and another 15 minutes later I had to go and address the front of house manager who was behind the bar with the two bartenders. I asked her if I could see her at the table she said sure and when she got there I told her I was more than willing to have a conversation about it 30 minutes ago but that now I just want the bill taken care of. She did take care of it. She noted that she had told the server about the to-go box a half hour earlier and that we still did not have a to-go box and we were made to wait having been done with our meal and having to go drinks melted at this point. My daughter is 16 years old and she was an absolute disbelief about how neglectful the service was. Once again though I go to Texas Roadhouse often and this is the worst experience I've had service wise. The food itself was fantastic and my compliments to the kitchen. Management was okay in the end but the server needs to decide whether or not they're actually going to do their job when...

We stopped in for another great meal and to enjoy the fantastic interior. We love the West!

Victoria, our waitress, did such an outstanding job that she deserves a two-thumbs-up salute.

My wife had the roadkill steak, and I had the full house of ribs. Of course, half of it had to go home with me.

Victoria helped us in a special way. I ordered a number of other things to take with me, and she got them all done exactly the way my wife wanted them.

If you want some real Western flavor, this is the place.

We had another wonderful dinner at Texas Roadhouse. My wife had a steak and I had my favorite, the Road Kill Chopped Steak. Both were awesome.

It was really neat watching the staff line dance. They were really having a lot of fun

Courtney, our waitress tonight and many times before, took great care of us. Her friendliness and smile make the evening special.

February 9, 2025 We had another great meal. Courtney really took nice care of us. At the same time, she was training a new server. It's really neat when the staff does Line Dancing.

December 12, 2024 Another absolutely great meal! My wife had the salmon salad and I had the herb crusted chicken. Lauren took absolutely great care of us! The Christmas decorations were really special.

August 17, 2024 We've been stopping at Texas Roadhouse a few times lately. What a variety of great food they have on the menu at very reasonable prices

Plus, free bags of peanuts. This time my wife and I both had porkchops with all the trimmings.

Cadence, our waitress really took nice care of us. She has a great sense of humor and a great smile.

A previous time a few months ago Great food & great atmosphere! Allie, our waitress, was a real gem. She really took great care of us and made our meal so enjoyable.
