They are absolutely the worst I always have a bad experience over there and over a week ago was my last terrible experience. I will never go there again. I’ll make sure to tell my friends and family how terrible this restaurant is not only are they slow with everything they do. They are very disrespectful over a week ago. I ordered a drink and food and I work right next-door. I asked him how long will it be because I’m at work they pretty much lied to me. Told me it’ll be within 10 to 15 minutes. I said OK came back 15 minutes later and they told me be another 20 minutes and I told the gentleman why didn’t you tell me that when I left I told you I’m at work I can’t be coming back-and-forth like this, and they told me that they were busy and short staff give me every excuse they always give excuses. They never own up to anything. The team lead was incredibly unprofessional. One of the cooks was unprofessional didn’t say sorry at all. They said they refund me my money and I told him no I’ve been waiting and I’m hungry but I would never come back here again and I wanted to talk to a manager. They wouldn’t give me the number they told me the manager is never there and I know they were line because they don’t wanna get in trouble , someone in upper management needs to take care of this because I am not the only one that thinks this way there’s a lot of people that say they are very slow and unprofessional. Don’t go to this place guys I’m telling you they are slow rude and they...
Read moreAbove all else, the little café found on Sanford’s Lake Monroe edge is undoubtedly: earnest. It’s easy to overlook any small issues that might arise for this is a genuine business wearing its heart on its walls. Its ran by an eager to please, knowledgeable and quaint staff who try their hardest; that’s the reason I expect for their continued popularity. On my visit I ordered the Zimbabwe brew with milk on the side, though served to me already mixed in. You know what? Didn’t even matter, my coffee was delicious milk notwithstanding and even still could I taste the subtleties of my selection. I ordered the Big Breakfast Burrito, 4 eggs bacon & cheese/salsa and was served another burrito with potatoes. You know what? Didn’t even matter, the potato burrito was delicious and free of charge. I did end up having my big burrito; though light on the seasoning, it still was filling, and I appreciated the gesture. That’s the point – this is an earnest establishment, willing to satisfy above all else. I feel good here, I feel good spending my money here.
On your next visit to downtown Sanford, consider relaxing on the edge of Lake Monroe. Order a Zimbabwe with milk and, what the heck, stir it in too. Trust me, they’ll know what you’ll like even...
Read moreStopped by for a quick afternoon work session, hoping for a cozy spot to sip and type. The cold brew iced coffee I ordered at 1 PM was decent, but the vibe? Imagine a hipster icebox with a side of passive-aggressive hospitality. Barely settled in with my laptop when I got a “full disclosure” not-so-subtle reminder that the place closes at 2 PM—fair enough, but maybe mention that when I’m ordering? Then, after about a half hour of quietly working (not exactly hosting a TED Talk), the server swooped in like a vibe assassin, slapping a sign on my napkin holder declaring this wasn’t a “public office” and the space was for “everyone to enjoy.” Ouch. Nothing says “welcome” like a public shaming for daring to use Wi-Fi in a coffee shop. Cool aesthetic, but the awkwardness was thicker than the foam on their lattes. If you plan to open a laptop or, you know, exist for more than 30 minutes, steer clear. I’ll be taking my coffee money and productivity elsewhere....
