Board & Brush Creative Studio - Sanford — Attraction in Sanford

Recently went here with some friends. First time there and it was very overwhelming. Some of the staff members were polite but seemed a little untrained and the one who knew how to help was so rude. I was shocked at how disorganized they were. None of the colors were labeled so when we asked for a color they had no idea which bottle. Try this and then this and nope not that. They also do not have all the colors in one spot for you to see. It’s more like oh look around at all the signs and find a color you like so no wonder we were playing guess and check. We had a private table for three hours. I did show up 20 mins late so this part is slightly on me. When I first got there a friend was trying to show me how to distress the wood using tools. As soon as the employee saw this she immediately snatched the tools basically out of my hands like it was her mission in life. She said no you were late we have other people waiting so this is not an option for you. While I understand there may be people coming in after us the attitude was completely unacceptable. Just for the record we were done 30 mins prior to our end time. Moving on from that the pieces turned out nice. I just feel like at a $73 plus price tag the experience should have been so...

Girls night. Had a great time. Definitely have an idea of what you want to do before you go. Everything is customizable, paint, stains, etc. There are examples all around the space. When I chose one no one knew what the finish was so mine came out different than expected. I don’t love the outcome of my piece. It was a bit overwhelming and we had a new assistant, felt she should have been shadowed by someone experienced as this was her first night. Event was supposed to be over at 9:30. The place was full and our table was the only ones left. I left at 10:30 and a few friends didn’t leave until 11:00. For the cost there should have been more attentiveness. With that being said, staff is friendly, idea is great, it was a fun night. Just be prepared with your ideas. Will maybe try again. My piece is pretty but may not end...

When my wife mentioned that she wanted to do one of those "wine & paint" nights. I told her no. Just not my thing.

Then she showed me the website of Board & Brush. I said "Yeah, I'll do that".

We went this Saturday and had a blast. The owners and staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. With their help, both my wife and I came out with something we were proud to hang in our home.

In fact, we hung my wife's sign in the kitchen as soon as we got home at 10:30 PM. She was that excited about her sign.
