Loggerhead Distillery — Local services in Sanford

We heard in social media about the Loggerhead Cocktail Crawl that is going on for the month of November (some venues will offer a cocktail using Loggerhead's spirits) and decided to give it a try.

We did not know what to expect and once we walked in, were were greeted by a nice lady that asked us if we wanted to do a tasting. That was a pleasant surprise and we did try it and it was fun! The gentleman that did the tasting was knowledgeable and he told us that the distillery is locally owned and that they do tours, pretty cool to know.

We tasted bourbon, vodka, gin, moonshine and rum. My BIL really liked the Apple Pie Moonshine and the Sweet Tea Vodka so he bought some!

Let me take you on a little journey. 632 days ago, I made an online order for a bottle of apple pie moonshine and Florida lightning with a t-shirt. Today was the first day I was back in-person in Sanford. I thought to myself, it's a long shot but let me go into The distillery and see if they'll honor my order from so long ago.

The gentleman behind the counter, after I told him my story, turns right around, grabs a bag off a shelf and says," you must be Jason."

We stumbled upon this place on the way home from lunch. They were releasing their tea vodka (very good, btw), and introducing themselves to the neighborhood. This is a great group of people who clearly love what they do. They put loads of thought into each product they carry (all local, which I think is wonderful), and the store itself is well-crafted.
