I placed an order for some calamari which I thought would be a very simple order. I was told the order would be ready in 15 minutes. They asked for the vehicle model and color. I arrive and said there for about 5 minutes. I called the number for placing order and the young lady said let me get them for you and placed the call on hold....I'm holding now for 4 minutes without anyone picking up the phone. Someone pulled up besides me and all of a sudden a waitress exit the restaurant and assist this customer. Then she comes over to me and asked if she can help me with something??? Really, I've been waiting now for almost 10 minutes and I'm still on hold all this time, I told her I was here to pick up my order and have been waiting for over 7 minutes now on the phone. This customer just showed up and she immediately goes over and assist him instead of checking on me first, since I was there first. This young lady said well I'm here now, how can I help you!!! Rolling her eyes, I said you can help me by bringing me my order and she responded that is what she is trying to do and her tone and voice is now loud. I told her honey before I lose my cool can you please go and get your manager. She turned and said I can definitely do that and walked away.
I was shocked!!! Did that just happened??? The manager came out and introduce herself. She apologized for the waitress behavior and inquired what was my name, then she said she will be right back. She came back with my order and proceeded to pay for my food. She said no this is on the house. I didn't want a free meal I wanted better customer service and wanted something to be done about the wait time and the waitress.
Now, I'm home and watching this GA/FL football game and I'm ready to eat my food. It's so cold and tough. So, on top of that experience, the food is horrible. I love carrabba's but this was the WORST...
Read moreIt wasn't anywhere near a great experience at Carrabba's at all. The restaurant was clean that's about it. I started knowing that I wouldn't order the Chicken Trio again three hockey puck pieces of chicken topped for their respective dish with a side for $31 (I know the price isn't restaurant controlled) is way too overpriced. Then my wife orders the Italian Trio with the Lasagna that came with basically a brick as if it was cut from a giant pan and zapped in the microwave for 30 seconds to look like it came out of the oven. When we said something to the server Taylor she initially grabbed a separate plate had my wife slide the cold Lasagna onto the plate and said that she would have the kitchen warm it up. Which right away struck a red flag as that goes against food safety practices. Fortunately one of the managers returned with a new hot piece of Lasagna. All these food quality issues were on a quiet Friday night so there was plenty of time for the kitchen to check their work before plating and presenting. Now you can't change someone's personality but if you can read people you can tell when one's stage presence seems a bit forced. Taylor, she was nice but her inside voice was loud enough to be an outside voice which comes off a little fake and phony. Now my Wife and I have been to the Carrabba's in Altamonte Springs and the quality and service were better and if we were thinking about going to a Carrabba's again I would rather go there even though I live near this location. As a chain establishment, there should be food consistency and I don't feel like this comes close between these two restaurants. Read moreHorrible experience. We checked in with the host expecting to wait since we had a party of 9. I was told it would be a moment, which was fine. It was a beautiful day, and we saw seating outside with a table set for guests, so I asked if we could sit outside. "Let me see if I can get a server for outside," is what I was told. I should have left at that moment. I proceeded to see the host ask 3 severs if they would take the table outside while each server replied with a "no." As I was talking to my party to see if we should leave, the host said she could set something up. I asked her if there was an issue, which she replied no. She informed me there would be no cushions, which was fine. They set up the table fairly quickly (with cushions) but told me there were no tablecloths. Again, that's fine. The server came immediately but then disappeared when the rest of the party sat. We waited 20 min until she showed up to gather drinks and orders. We didn't see her again til well into our entrees. I saw the food runner more than I saw her. Refills were needed, plates were left on the table, and everything took forever. We asked for 5 boxes and the check and were brought 3 and no check. We then had to wait another 20 min to see her again. We were obviously an inconvenience and man, did we feel it. It shouldn't take 2 hrs to eat a meal. Did we ever see the manager? Nope. He couldn't be bothered outside either. Two other tables sat midway through our meal and they appeared to be getting the same forgetful treatment.
