My husband drove to pick up our order. It was rung up by Shannon when he returned the order, it didn't have the bacon we paid for, and pickles were missing. I called, Shannon answered only with a "hello," and I had to ask if I had called Charley's. She said yes, and I proceeded to tell her the issue. I stated my husband could bring it back, and i asked that it be made correctly. Her response was, "That's not what's going to happen." She's told me we could return tomorrow between her shift times, and it would be resolved. What were we supposed to eat tonight, and this was almost 2 hours prior to closing? I told her my request was that my order be made correctly, especially since it's also missing an add-on item that wet paid additional for. She said they would take my box, open it, and add the bacon to it. I guess she was going to pick the lettuce off, too. Florida Department of Health doesn't allow food to be brung back behind the counter and croas-contaminated after it has left the store. I asked for a manager, and she identified herself as the manager on duty. I asked for the owners information, and she said his name was Peter and hung up. I tried calling back, and there was no answer. I called back at 7:26p. from my mom's phone, and another employee answered, I asked if it was Shannon, she said no, but she's the manager. I asked if Peter was working tomorrow. She said, "Oh, you're the person that just called" followers by her hanging up in my face. Shannon lacks the education, compassion, understanding, and willingness to even be a manager of any establishment where she has to come in contact with customers who are paying for a service. She lacks leadership and sets bad examples, which were clearly handed down to the other employees...
Read moreThe food here is really good and reasonably priced. There was a bit of a wait but it wasn't too long. What bothered me a little was that there was an instance where the wrong food was prepared and it belonged to none of the customers.
The customers around me didn't want it and I was about to ask them if I could have it because I was hungry. But then they gave it to the owner / worker who then proceeded to throw it in the trash without asking if anyone else wanted it.
Food waste is a serious problem in America and there are people dying of starvation in other countries and I myself struggle to find nutritious meals without breaking my wallet. This was very disrespectful to the food and also kind of showed how little they care for their own product.
A better way to handle it would be to ask all the customers if anyone wanted a free meal to brighten their day. I would have appreciated it. And if no one wants it, eat it yourself or give it to one of the workers so they can have a free lunch on their break.
Food is such a vital basic necessity but has been commercialized like crazy these days and it is one of the things that has risen in price with the rising costs of living in this state and country and it just saddens me that this is all happening around me and stores throw it away without second hesitation meanwhile I can barely afford to eat nutritious foods for myself and have to resort to buying unhealthy non-nutritious junk foods from the food bank.
Please don't hesitate to extend a generous hand and ask customers if they want a free meal if there was an order that was...
Read moreI’ve been feeding my family Charleys for years the food is great! I usually visit the Charleys in Seminole Town Center the manager there is very kind and the staff is always great and so is the food. They closed at 8 so I wasn’t able to make it in time so I decided to check out the Charleys located in the WalMart on Rinehart Road not far from the one I usually visit. Upon arrival I ordered my food and wasn’t asked what I wanted on my sub, I figured he would ask cause that’s what the others do usually people atleast as about mushrooms, but I swiped my card. After paying I begin to explain to him what I don’t want on my sub. He then says why didn’t you tell me before I put it on the stove. I replied you didn’t ask and they usually do. We went back a ford about it and then he stormed off with no reply after I asked him again he literally told me to “shut up” I asked for the manager and he said he is the manager super rude and walked off I was embarrassed he went to the back room and the staff helped me out and took care of my order. This guy needs to be replaced...
