My wife and I along with 3 friends went to this location for dinner last night. It was literally a disaster from the start. Our server Eugene was arractic, seemed confused and lacked any sense of how a meal should flow. We first had to hear his life story about how he was a server for the President. Then how the President of Cheddars asked him personally to come work for him since he served the President. After this he ran, yes literally ran because the hostess sat him two more times while he told us his life story. He never took our drink order or appetizers etc. After about ten minutes or literally watching him run through the restaurant he came back and took our drink order. We then also ordered cheese bites. Eugene then said he needed to take our order because he was busy. We were not prepared to order so he ran off. He then brought back a beer our friend ordered and said he would have our cheese fries right out. I tried to tell him we ordered cheese bites but he said we didn't. He finally said he will fix it but told me again we had ordered cheese fries and then took off running again. We still had not had our order taken and it was going on 20-25 minutes at this time. Eugene brought the cheese bites out and finally took our order. Our meal came out quickly compared to every other part of this meal. At the delivery of our meal we had sides missing, the wrong sides delivered and our drinks still had not been refilled since we sat down. We had to ask numerous times for refills, numerous times for the correct sides. Out of 5 meals only 2 were considered good. This was the Salmon and Chicken Pot Pie. A friend ordered a steak that was tough a leather. Her side was wrong then it came out cold. Her steak lacked any flavor or seasoning and was was dried out. Another friend ordered steak and ribs. She ordered her steak Medium rare. Her steak came out the same way as our other friends over cooked, tough and dried out. We had to flag Eugene down because he was literally still sprinting through the dining room. The steak had to be recooked which took a very long time. It still came out over done. At this point everyone else was almost done. I ordered Chicken Fried Steak. My steak was cold but the gravy was somewhat warm. My mashed potatoes had no taste, gravy was bland and had a big consistency issue. I never received my second side and I refused to have to ask for it again since i had 3 times before. Our meal resembled a track meet as Eugene literally sprinted through the dining room the entire time. He made us feel very uncomfortable and rushed. We had to continually ask for refills, sides etc. No manager ever came around to check on us. Eugene would make a good host but a server is not his strong points. He lacks organizational skills and does not handle more than one table well let alone 4 or 5. The mediocre food didn't help with our experience. This is not an experience I would want anyone to have to endure. The shining part was a great hostess. The hundred plus bill we dropped left a lot...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been here about 10 times. We have a group that gets together once a month and we come here to eat since it's so close to our area. Sunday night we had 7 in our party and was told the wait would be 20 minutes and showed us the table that we would be sitting at since we were next. Well the table was empty and cleaned, I let everyone know and about that time, a group of 6 that came in after us, was seated at the table. So a 20 minute wait turned into a 45 minute wait for a table. The hostess failed to let us know the time situation or the reason the party after us got the table she assured that we would have. Once we were seated, the waitress came by and took our drink and food orders since we had plenty of time to see the menu before seating. About 15 minutes after the waitress took our orders, they showed up with 2 baskets of rolls. Then another 5 minutes after that our drinks showed up. So we sat there and talked for a little bit and one of us noticed that it had been 53 minutes since ordering our food and no one has checked on us or anything. The food finally arrived 1 hour and 6 minutes after we placed the order. The food was amazing just like it always is. I want to be clear that we were not upset with the waitress, she did her job because she was alone and had more than she was able to handle. We spoke to the manager to give her some assistance to catch up but obviously it wasn't what he wanted. We applaud the waitress for her hard work during the difficult and busy night. The manager spoke with us and offered us a free dessert, free order of rolls and offered to cover our entire bill which would have been well over $150. The way the manager spoke, it almost sounded like a rehearsed speech he gave us, like this has happened more than a few times. In the end, we will still continue to come back and eat here, although if it is busy like Sunday night, then we will most likely eat somewhere else to avoid issues like the one we experienced. Great food, peaceful atmosphere,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've gone to this place a few times. The time before this one was awful. It was during lunch time and the waitress treated us like she already knew she wasn't going to get a tip. She did not check on us at all. Prior to that visit, I had no issues with this place. This time, it's Easter Sunday, around 7:30. When we walk in, there is a young lady standing there as usual. There was also a person I assume was the manager standing there. I asked for his name when I left so I could be sure to mention it. HIs name is Ricardo. He acted like he was annoyed that we were there. There was no greeting. There was a simple "how many?" from the young lady. I really didn't have a problem with it at all. The problem started after my order was placed. My waitress was fine, however, she may have been busy so Ricardo brought part of the meal to the table. As he walked to the table, he was happily chatting loudly with the ladies working the bar. He dropped the food on the table without saying a word and walked away. I didn't really like his hospitality but I would have been willing to let it slide except for the fact that he was all bubbly when he spoke with anyone that worked there. When speaking with the actual paying customers, not so much. On top of that, he was talking over the food he was bringing to the table. That is not cool. What if he spits when he talks? I guess he was leaving for the day right before I was leaving and again, there is his bubbly personality displayed when speaking with the workers. I took this personally. I can't say he was cordial with any other patrons but I can tell you he needs some additional customer service skills when dealing with someone who looks like me. The sad part about it is he looked like me too. I'm pretty sure this will be my...
