Food is great but manager is terrible terrible terrible !!! I ordered a few orders for myself & a few co workers order was read correctly & read back to me correctly but we received the order and another large sub which is like $11/12 was added to our order that nobody ordered nor was it read back to me !! Co worker stated she had an issue with them over charging her card a few times as well anyways my sub & my managers sub did not have mayo on it or onions I called & spoke with a manager it was a lady & told her the issue she was extremely rude and kept talking over me stating she watched the subs get made & rolled all the subs (at rush/lunch time) & she was sooo certain there were onions on the subs I order from them frequently and the same thing all the time I would’ve known if there were onions on my sub then I had her reread my order it was right besides a large sub that was added that nobody added ! Then she stated she didn’t know what I wanted her to do ? I said well if you would stop talking over me then you could hear me talk id like my 2 subs remade she refused & told me she had a line in the store & couldn’t stay on the phone &a argue with me yet I wasn’t arguing I was actually being very respectful & nice until she continued to constantly talk over me & be rude I stated I wasn’t trying to argue I just wanted my subs remade the right way that we just spend $50/$60 with them then she said she wasn’t replacing them & hung up I called back immediately & didn’t receive an answer ! I’m disgusted at this customer service from the manager at that ! I just wanted my subs made right I spend good money there at least twice a week & have never been so disrespected in my life by someone At a restaurant again a manager !!!! Read moreIf you don't mind your sandwich consistently being made incorrectly with items you requested be left off included (ie onions) and items you asked to be included (ie mushrooms) left off, this is the place to dine. Other than wanting a Philly and hoping for better service each time, not sure why I continue to give my money to a business that doesn't prioritize customer service.
Today I ordered a combo of fries and a drink to be consumed on site. After discovering that no tea was available I asked for a refund of the combo portion only, and to make my sandwich to go. The woman behind the register said that i was weird for wanting to cancel the combo because they were out of tea. (I was also told thay they threw it out and had no plans to make any more, prior to asking for the refund) I retorted by asking her if she usually goes out to eat and doesn't consume a beverage with her meal? After being called weird accompanied by the eye rolling, and told that my request of my money back for products that they say they have and don't, is when I decided to ask for a full refund of the entire order. Not only did the woman at the cash register get an attitude and continue with the off hand remarks, but so did the on duty manager/ owner. As if it's the customers fault for LaSpada not keeping enough food and drink on hand to fulfill customer orders during operating hours. To have such disdain and animosity, and to get mad at a paying customer, when you failed to disclose you don't have all menu items available, is a lack of respect for your customers that is intolerable.
Despite only getting the order correct half the time it was still worth giving them a try. Now, knowing that the staff and owners could care less about doing what's right for the customer without insulting them is enough to loose my business and every person I can steer clear of here going forward. Food- I had a "Large Steak Supreme" and it was pretty good and decently flavorful, but I've had much better elsewhere.
Customer Service- The counter man was pretty nice, but was leaning on the counter (Didn't look very enthusiastic, but maybe he was just tired. Lol) and took a bit longer than necessary to greet a customer.
Atmosphere- The interior is very outdated and extremely old looking and I just think that the entire restaurant needs to be redone. And I'm not trying to be rude or critical, but I truly believe that a more modernized appearance would be an upgrade for them and would bring in more customers.
Price- The meal (Just the Steak Supreme alone.) is not worth $14 and change, especially in a place that looks the way that it does. Period.
Conclusion- The place has been in business for years at that location and I have to admit that they had a decent following, because many people did come to eat while I was there waiting for my order. Because of those facts, and that I keep hearing about their "Cheesesteaks" on Facebook, I wanted to try them out. Decent Cheesesteak, but I think Sobiks is better right down the road from them.
