This was a really bad experience. Let's start with the fact that the waitress wanted to sit us at the front booth just a few feet away from the kitchen. They walk back and forth serving other customers right next to this booth. I don't think I've ever seen anybody seated there and you can shoot shoot deer in the restaurant tonight so I cant understand why she wanted to seat us there other than that she would only have to walk a couple feet to serve us. I asked to be seated farther back but she insisted that that section was closed. Reluctantly she sat us three booths back.
The next thing to happen was that one of my cell phones died and I have a very small battery pack and charger. I asked the waitress if she could possibly plug it in just for a couple minutes. She said there were no plugs for customers that I would have to ask the manager. that the manager would have to approve that so I got up and I asked the manager. He came out red-eyed smelling like alcohol and said that the plugs were not for customers. Well from that point on things got went from bad to really really horrible. The manager kept walking by with this smirk on his face then he went in the back and was looking at us talking to the Cook and they were both laughing I was so uncomfortable I refused to eat my meal he kept walking by and he couldn't get that grin off of his face. When a manager of a restaurant makes you feel so uncomfortable that you feel like they have tampered with your food there's just no way to describe this feeling. Read moreI am pretty blown away by the horrendous and extreme lack of customer service by this location. I work not too far away, and have ordered online from them a few times. Every time (without hyperbole!) they have gotten at least some portion of the order wrong! The last two times, it was obvious that the order, the 'special instructions', and the items listed as paid for, were completely disregarded. After the most recent time, I called while I was at work to try and see if the wrong portions of the order could be refunded somehow (which means the majority of it), I was told I need to call back because they are too busy to deal with me right now, as the manager has to "log in, in the back and it takes too long". I said okay and called back. When I called back about four hours later, the manager was shockingly rude! He had a very raised voice and said "why do you keep calling?! There's no need for you to call! I can't help you! We're too busy!" I told him that I was trying to make sure that the refund happened and that I was under the impression I needed to call back to ensure it did. I told him that I was at work and didn't have time to keep calling to make sure I got my money back. His response? "I'm at work too! I'm too busy!" I was in shock as I thought he was at Denny's?--The place where I needed a refund from? Read moreI will NEVER go there again. Because of a surgery procedure, my stomach is much much smaller. Along with that the doctor who performed the surgery gave me a card that asks restaurants requesting I be able to order from the “child's” menu.
In the past Denny’s respected that request. HOWEVER in visiting them today, the waitress stated that the Manager would not allow this anymore. Very strict for 12 and under only.
This is regardless of showing this document from the doctor and my ID.
They don’t respect peoples needs, especially medical requirements
I feel this is showing prejudice against people that have these limitations. They expect you to order Large meals just to bring in the money
To add insult to injury, i ordered JUST a grilled cheese sandwich, which I did not eat all of it so When i get the check i was actually charged for the soup AND sandwich.
I was never told that i would be charged for that meal specially when i requested JUST the sandwich. AND not even mentioning the soup being served.
If my stomach was larger i may have ordered the soup and sandwich. They never stated that i would be charged for that too. Another reason to order from the child’s menu, much less food. On the way out when I saw how I was charged I told them I would take the soup to go
