Great spot for oceanfront casual sushi! I was surprised with the quality of the fish here. With how casual a spot it is, I didn’t expect the sushi to be that good! The spicy tuna really hit the spot. That being said, a few complaints: • the menu had no pricing listed. turned out to still be relatively costly, which was unexpected for how casual the ambience is… $10.75 is overpriced for a spicy tuna roll. • the lady at the register yesterday was in a very negative mood. I understand having an off day, but this was almost intentionally disrespectful after we asked for some of the menu pricing. Not appreciated. • the rice proportion was a bit much in both the rolls and nigiri selections… If it wasn’t for the quality of the fish and the nice location, I would have rated this place lower to be honest. Not sure if I’d go back given the plentiful options around town and the unfriendly staff member.

Not sure how this place has such a high rating. Their prices are a bit pricey for okay quality food and you have to sit outside where there's very few tables but its at the harbor so its a nice view. Do NOT order anything with eel. The last 3 times I've ordered food with eel, the skin was left on and there were several bones. I had to pick apart every piece on my sushi roll little by little so I wouldn't crunch on any more bones. I've ate at many sushi places and have ordered eel but never had it served with the skin or bones. This wasn't an issue a year ago when I used to eat here...they must've changed their cooks.

I haven’t been here since the summer of 2018 and remember it being better than it was today. Unfortunately the California roll wasn’t made well and fell apart as soon as I picked up a piece. They didn’t allow the rice to cool it seemed. The slices of fish for the nigiri were much too thick and as such, difficult to eat. Wasn’t a fan of the salmon. They’re not very friendly when customers order but the location is ideal with an amazing view.

Very good quality food. Seating is a bit of a challenge, but once settled enjoy. Prices are average to high but the quantities are good. Had a family of three able to enjoy a good lunch and get back out to day activities quickly. A very good option for quick and great taste. Just a bit more seating would be preferred even though space is limited. Will come back again on another trip to Santa Barabara, I am sure.

Excellent sushi. Fish is always fresh. Excellent place to sit and have lunch. Being right on the harbors edge means that there’s always lots of people-watching to do and the fresh ocean air and cool breeze is priceless on a hot day. On a cold day or in the evenings it gets chilly so bring a jacket. Oh the salmon bento box is amazing and so is the baked salmon roll.

Amazing sushi! Honestly the best California roll I have ever had. We ordered 5 different rolls and loved them all. Service was alright.. Not super friendly, but not bad. Our order came very quickly... We had all five rolls in a matter of maybe ten minutes. Great little hole in the wall place! Not to mention eating on the warf is also wonderful.
