My first time at a Drag Show at the Wildcat Lounge. I used to go dancing there. It was my friend's birthday and she wanted the show. She assured me that we would have a great brunch. We did not. Be forewarned, they are not connected anymore to a restaurant, and could only provide very expensive bites from a caterer. If you have any food allergies, please eat beforehand. It was a weird show. I expected beauties doing a singing/dancing show. There was maybe 20 minutes of that. There was a lot of audience participation talking and trying too hard. The event was $5 dollars at the door. The drinks are very small, very strong, and quite expensive. The show started much later than advertised. My friend said to be there at 11 am. The show didn't start until almost 1pm. It was like they were going through "growing pains " and hadn't figured it out yet. I have seen other friend's posts about this show and had expected it to be that way. Maybe it was an off day. Try it out yourself and it may be different. Be sure to dress up and dress wild. Lots of makeup and sparkle, you'll...
Read moreWildcat is honestly one of my favorite places in Santa Barbara. The Happy Hour is unmatched by far of any bar in SB. There is usually always some free food available. Happy Hour is between 4-8pm they open at 4. There is a pool table if you like to play, but only 1. A HUGE patio with heaters, and booths. Sunday Drag Brunch is always the place to be. AND! This bar is by far the absolute most LGBTQIA friendly place in the city. They have Karaoke on Monday nights, and some kind of DJ or entertainment literally every night of the week. Also! I would like to say. Don't let a slightly empty bar during the day or night deterr you from going inside. The Staff at Wildcat are top notch, and even if its just you and bartender for a while? You're still going to have...
Read moreI usually have a good time here. The music is good, the drinks are good, the vibes are usually good. However in the past few months the bouncers have gotten increasingly aggressive. They’ll shove people and yell at them for no reason. I tried to talk to one of them about how many people we were paying the cover for and how much it was and got yelled at in my face. As a woman I had NEVER been spoken to like that in my life, it was ridiculous. Ruined my whole night and I wouldn’t be surprised if they got into an actual fight with someone with how aggressive...
