Casa de la Guerra — Attraction in Santa Barbara

Read a lot about the house and its residents, yada yada. Drove up from l.a. to check it out. I was shocked to see it lost in a sea of "white limed" buildings all banking on the house's history. Rising up behind the house, unlike most photos of it, is some kind of hotel with balconies of smoking visitors. No blue sky anywhere. Just terrible.
