Oh boy! What can I say, other than that Chili's Has Gone DOWNHILL Tremendously! Now with that in mind, If this review were based Solely on my Waitress, then it would be a 5 Star Review All Day and All Night! She was, without a doubt, as solid as a waitress comes. Very attentive, courteous, and downright Awesome! Way to go, girl!! Where this Chili's lacks is in Many things, starting with Food. Gone are the days of the Amazing Chicken Crispers. So crisp on the outside, fluffy and moist on the inside. Now they come out looking like pieces of Deep Fried Calamari, but not crisp and airy as before, but rather soggy and lackluster tasting as the chicken has been rendered almost inedible! Quite Disappointing!! Secondly, involves the access to the World from this location. Despite their website claiming 'Free WiFi,' it is Non-Existant here at the 19071 Golden Valley Road Chili's location. It made the Check Out process from the Table Top Kiosk Virtually Impossible! It stranded me at the 'One Moment... We are retrieving your check's screen for at least 2 to 3 minutes. All in all the experience here was mediocre, at best. It appears as if they were working with a skeleton crew, with Management Nowhere to be found!! However, let me reiterate, that my Waitress, (name withheld to protect the awesome waitress), was phenomenal! Will I give this Chili's Grill & Bar a chance to redeem themselves? But of course!! It's the American Way!! Perhaps some things Will change before I'm in here again. Although they haven't at places like our S.C.V. Costco, who ALSO has a Major Internet Issue, among Many other things... Perhaps that's why they're building one in Valencia?? Hmmm. Anyway, get back to your Heyday, Chili's! Your slogan of 'Less Is More,' is NOT even a mantra You follow. I mean your menu is 15+ pages long, for Crying Out Loud! Hahahahaa... anyway, I'll try you out sometime in July! Get working on the internet and get My Original Chicken Crispers...
Read moreChillies is one of those restaurant chains that you know exactly what you're getting. We very rarely visit chain restaurants, but something about Chillies brings back a certain nostalgia of home. One of the very reasons we dislike chain restaurants... because they're all carbon copies of each other... on occasion works for them when we want something simple and relaxing.
So maybe once or twice a year, we'll hit up a Chillies. The food is always very tasty and filling. We generally get the Southwester Egg Rolls, which are always delicious. We also had chips and salsa, which I had forgotten how fantastic chillie's chips and salsa are! They're very thin, but that is kind of cool and the salsa (for my taste) has the perfect amount of spice without being too much. I had a chicken quesadilla that was classic as always. They should give you more of the sauce. You finish it after about half the quesadillas. All very good.
The service while good, could have been a bit better. I wondered if someone had called out. There wasn't a host or hostess, which is rare for what I remember of Chillies and we were waiting at the front for several minutes before we were acknowledged. Our waitress was very friendly and pleasant.
If you're looking for something familiar and easy going where you know exactly what you're going to get... Chillies is a...
Read moreWe’ve visited several Chili’s, Northridge and Simi Valley, but this one is our favorite. We like the location and easy parking. This restaurant is fairly new so the interior, seats, tables, decor are all new. The restaurant is kept very clean, which is the top of my check off list at any restaurant. Service is fast and friendly and the prices are reasonable. Their not too busy and we are usually seated right away. We probably had to wait only once. Their flat bread appetizer is great, that’s the first thing we order as soon as we sit down. My husband always orders some kind of steak and always loves it. I usually order their spicy three shrimp tacos, which is yummy, but I’m not sure if they still carry it. We also really like their fajitas, soups and grilled asparagus, all very delicious! If you are a commuter traveling between Palmdale and the LA area, this is a very nice stop along the way. For us locals, it’s a pleasant restaurant with good food, good prices, and...
