Eighth & Rail — Restaurant in Santa Clarita

I have been there 5 or 6 times now. It has been consistently a good experience. Parking can be tough, but there is a parking structure, buses, and train nearby. This bar has a lot going on. The game area includes shuffleboard, pool, and darts. Smoking out front/back, well, you'll see. :) The full bar has taps, wine, and a menu of mixed drinks (perfect for when I came in brain dead and didn't know what I wanted). It includes some creative and some times strong, good deals. The food has always been good and range from a small inexpensive cup of chili (perfect when needing a little something to eat when hammering back a few strong drinks) to elaborate more expensive options. The walls have many flat tv screens, some of which are playing videos that I grew up with. There is also a juke box to play your own songs from your smartphone. From the photos I thought that the place would be a lot more spacious and well-lit. Id never been here before.The atmosphere captured in the photos was different than what I felt walking in. The place was very dark, almost hard to navigate bc of how dark it was. Bartender served us almost right away. Drinks were ok- they were super strong and my friends and I usually drink 2 to 3 drinks at a place but we felt one was enough. The dj was cool, sounded fun. I’ve been to many bars, the bartenders here are some of the worst I’ve ever met. Very racist vibe, except for Jody she’s awesome and the tall light skin black guy whose a bar back/cook. Also I was here and the crowd is weird as hell, they’re a younger stuck up crowd. One guy was so obsessed about talking about his job as a video game producer but then complained he can’t afford a house? Wouldn’t leave me and my bf alone for a bit. Came here a bit after and some blonde lady was so snooty. Came again today and got denied service for FOOD by the same bartender I’ve tipped twice. I get I didn’t have my ID but no food at all?
