We came in Weds afternoon around 1ish. Place was pretty empty. I ordered the Mexican roll first with the intention of ordering one more roll after trying this one first and I’m glad I didn’t order another one. Well, it wasn’t like I could order another anyways because after the server dropped off our food (that took forever) he never came back to check in on us. I had mentioned that I was going to order another one too. But nope! Not happening…
My friend ordered the chicken ramen soup and he said it tasted very plain and didn’t have much flavor. He said it tasted like they had microwaved a bowl of water, added top ramen noodles and some deli chicken with a splash of milk…. Gross!
Finally after like 45 min he came and asked if my buddy wanted more water and grabbed his cup, I asked him if I could have some more water too and was handing him my cup and then he said he will bring me a new cup so he wouldn’t get them mixed up and when he came back he only had the one cup for my friend and not one for me. We had walked there and I was thirsty. I thought he was going to come back and he never did…he had an attitude this entire time and that’s when I realized he didn’t care about us being there….At that point we were obviously done and ready to leave but he never came back with our check. After like 20 min I had to hunt him down again and asked for the check. He came and dropped it off and then I had to get up again and give him the actual payment. He was too busy talking to another employee some woman that looked like she had just clocked off and was sitting at another booth.
I asked him to pay with a 20 dollar bill first and the rest on the card. He had an attitude and was not happy to be there. I understand having a bad day but man leave that negativity outside please. I’ve worked in hospitality for 15 years myself and I would never act the way this guy did even if my car broke down, being cheated on by a girlfriend or getting evicted. Learn to leave that outside…Learn some respect too man. Not one thank you, not any checking in on or follow up and with an attitude of that of a teenage girl that didn’t make the cheerleading squad in her senior year. This past Saturday night me, my wife and my little son came in with the poor and unexpected service provided by this girl, I have decided I didn’t want to tip as I usually do because she made mistakes only someone new in the business would as well as having someone else complete tasks for her. Which could also be seen as team work, something great after all! But while my bill was 68.92 and me rounding up the price to 70$ this girl have decided she deserved a better tip and charged me 80$ I didn’t notice this until today that I was checking my banking balances. Ordered calamari which was super deep fried, not chewy, but practically tasteless. It didn't help that they served it with marinara sauce which made me feel like I should be having mozzarella sticks instead. Roll-wise, the overall flavor wasn't bad but the fish wasn't that great. The California roll was good, but it's hard to mess that one up. The soda machine (would normally have a Japanese brew but cutting back this month 😆) must not have been working right, drink was totally flat.
