Rattler's Bar B Que — Restaurant in Santa Clarita

Impeccable service, awesome food, but there was one thing that stood out. I'm only giving one star because I had to in order to write a review.

We'd always had a good experience with this restaurant, and their service had never disappointed... but then came Carson. He was very tall, had a skinny face, and has curly brown hair. He was a very rude person with a pinch of sour and some "What the hell" to top off his terrible service. He told said family member (who went to make reservations) to "Wait outside" in an inpatient tone. It was outrageous. He spoke like we were dogs! I mean, if you're going to talk to someone like that, you might as well tell them to sit. The family member said "I'm going to get my family and come back". After said relative came to pick us up, we went as he had seen patio seating.

Instead of asking us where we wanted to sit and giving us menus like he had the previous party, he tossed some menus on a table in a dirty, noisy, corner of the patio and told us to sit. Well, I guess I was right! He treated us like animals after all. Little did he know, we found much nicer seats on the back patio. It had swamp coolers everywhere to beat the heat, and there was also nice rock music playing in the background. Now, this was more like it. Luckily, our amazing, kind server, Justina, agreed to serve us there too. Not even seconds later, Carson waltzed into the room with a young couple trailing behind him. He seated them, and after he saw me at the much better table than HE had given us, he shot me a dirty look and rolled his eyes. Why he treated us so inadequately, no one will ever know. Edit: I updated the rating from 1 to 5 stars, management read the review and will hopefully follow through with UberEats, the business deserves better. I have always received excellent service, and had great meals here. In the past I have ordered from here for pickup as well, and the food was hot when I picked it up, and still hot when I arrived at the house. The reason I give the food 5 stars, the service, and the atmosphere have always been spot on. Because of the UberEats delivery, they get 1 star, wish they had other options. I decided to try delivery, if you choose this option, you are limited to UberEats. I won’t be using UberEats again, this was my first and last time. If I can’t drive over, I will use one of the other delivery services who have never failed yet. The UberEats driver was allowed to pickup multiple orders, and mine was the last delivery, yet I was the closest to Rattlers. My food was cold, had to reheat it, and UberEats response was, it was the restaurant, and they would let them know. It wasn’t the restaurant, it was UberEats driver, or routing that made it cold. It took over 30 minutes to be delivered after pickup. I live approximately 3 driving miles away, avoid UberEats, pick it up yourself, or eat in. Back in the day when Rattlers was at the older location on Soledad the chicken chopped salad was excellent service was excellent the layout was excellent the last three visits in the new location was horrible service was always had something wrong, ordered chicken, got beef , oh sorry about the guacamole it was on the beef order, the ribs are 27.00 for a half rack and ridiculously small rack small ribs and poor taste . The waitress was super weird she goes I only bring rules when the order is placed and then at clean up we always clean up the table make room for the to-go boxes should leave the bag on top of the to-go boxes barely balancing she could at least open the bag and place them in there we make it perfect for that but no and the place was slow Thursday at 2:00 give me a break she needs to be trained much much better when she was an older lady too oh well we've gone there like I said three times now over the last 3 years and it's been horrible .... sorry Rattlers will never go there again your way overpriced and you don't have the magic of many years ago your quality flavor and atmosphere this horrible never again...too bad.
