Stone Oven — Restaurant in Santa Clarita

The food is delicious there’s no disputing that. The problem with this food establishment is the workers. They are MISERABLE. No one smiles, no eye contact, and just unfriendly. It is as if they are being forced to work and so they are taking it out on the customers. Almost like we are inconvenience. One of the girls preparing the food was actually chewing gum. REALLY! Management really needs to retrain the workers and maybe show up every now and then to see the disgusting work practices going on. They wear gloves to prepare the food but touch everything (handle to the oven, pan handle to cook the food, door to back of the house, etc.) with their gloved hands and then back to the food. I wonder how often people are getting sick from cross contamination and poor infection control practices. I will reconsider returning to this place...

The food is usually excellent the service is usually excellent but on my last visit I asked one of the associates if I could get no onions in my tuna salad sandwich she said yes and then proceeded to give me the tuna that had red onions in them now I'm not allergic to red onions I just got don't particularly like them but if I had been allergic to them I would have been in serious trouble and sent to the hospital if she had just explained to me that it was already made with onions I would have been fine but she's told me yes and then proceeded to do...

Stone Oven sandwiches hit every time. My mom and I ordered the garlic basil sandwich and my personal favorite the spicy chicken sandwich with Caesar salad. The oven baked bread is savory along with the ingredients and fresh guacamole in the sandwiches. There salads are also great with the tastiest croutons made from the same oven baked bread.
