As a vegetarian, it's great to have a new up-scale burger place in the Santa Clarita Valley that has plenty of options for me. I love a good Impossible Burger and Fries and my experiences at other "The Stand" locations set the bar for what I should expect at this one. Though so close to when they first opened it seems they might still be working on living up to their brand standards as there were a few quirks to this particular experience.
It's a beautiful space with a cavernous feel, modern design, and plenty of seating both inside and out.
Quirk one was being overcharged for the food. My wife and son both got a basic Stand Burger, add an Impossible Patty for both, a pretzel bun for one and lettuce wrap for the other. The math didn't quite add up when we saw the totals for the burgers and after some confusion trying to explain it, the person taking our order realized they did indeed charge us incorrectly which was fixed before we paid. So, hurrah! Growing pains...Everyone is new...they'll figure this out.
We hope they also figure out when they wipe down a booth or chairs, that it shouldn't be left overly wet. When we went to an empty booth to sit it was wet to the point where we needed to ask them to come dry off the seats. :/
The food also was not as good as we'd wanted it to be (and which we know THEY want it to be based on our experiences at other locations.) All three of our Impossible burgers were overcooked. One thing we remember from the other locations is that they ask you if you want your burger (even the Impossible Patty) well done or medium. They didn't ask us and these were definitely over charred on the outside and overdone on the inside.
The fries too, we got two orders, we're also just slightly overdone making that a little bit of a bummer.
I also tried their cucumber mint agua fresca which tasted a little bit watery. So that was everything we ordered and it all wasn't what we hoped for.
Two of us really liked the free house-made chip samples they were giving, and their pickles rock too.
We know what to expect from The Stand and we'll definitely go back in the future, but we think they need a little bit more time to settle in and get their staff up to speed to live up to the standards and experiences we've had at their other locations.
I'm rooting for you The...
Read moreI was passing by and saw this big orange sign. It said now open! I usually don’t come over to the side of the Valencia mall so I was pleasantly surprised to see this Burger joint serving American cuisine.
Parking: It’s the day after Christmas, there was no parking which is to be expected. I was able to find park down the hill. They do also provide valet parking if you do not wanna take a walk 😂 but I say you know what, I’m about to eat this burger and fries, so let’s get some exercise in before.
The atmosphere is very nice. It’s a little loud but that’s expected because people are bringing their families and/or friends, they have several TV’s on to watch different sports.
They have an array of beverages. They have Agua Fresca‘s, as well as Blueberry lemonade.
They have a variety of desserts, shakes burgers.
They also have a good variety of salads so if someone doesn’t want to eat a burger, they have options as well. End result : Everybody can get something and enjoy their meal all at the same time and not have to stop several places.
I’m very excited to try this, I will give my updated review as soon as I get my food.
Only open 3 months per the cashier. Who was also very pleasant , grew aged me with a smile and gave me the sun down on all the deliciousness they have to offer.
Be prepared to wait for you food. It’s a new place and many people are off of work due to the Holiday and kids being out of school.
Wait time to get to the cashier to order: Six to Eight minutes, as soon as I ordered and looked behind me, there was a line almost at the door.
They do offer booster seats for children which is a plus
Bathrooms : Very clean. It is a double plus
They have an A health grade rating 🙌🏿
Can’t wait to see them excel and have great success.
Covered Outdoor dining seating available. That’s also a plus because it is getting colder and the rain will be coming shortly.

Read moreI had an excellent time at The Stand in Valencia. I was greeted by Maria and Kaylee. I have to give my compliments to the owners here. I have never been so warmly greeted and welcomed to a restaurant by the crew. They are very nice and knowledgeable of the food. They told me all options that are available and how they are known for their pickles that come in little containers. I went with the big blue chicken sandwich and sweet potato fires. I went to the drink fountain and tried the blueberry lemonade. The lemonade was very tasty.
This is one of the best chicken sandwiches that I have ever had. The combination of the blue cheese, grilled onions, roasted tomato and BBQ sauce is spectacular. Frankie is the cook that made the chicken sandwich. He is an Artist (Please look at the picture of the chicken sandwich that I took) The sweet potato fries were used as a fork to eat all the delicious sauces that was coming out of the chicken sandwich. The portions at The Stand are very generous. Great job!
I was there at 4pm on a Monday. They had about 5 families and about 4 couples there. Traffic is a sure telling of good food.
I spoke with Maria after eating and she told me about The Stand. They serve all local brewed beer that supports the community. The Stand also has events to help out sports and High Schools. They have their own beers with special nights that have souvenirs of drinking glasses. She told me about how packed they were on the weekend because the quality of the food. I can see how this would make a great date night spot. This is a very kid friendly place with Mac and Cheese and a lot of kid meals. The drinking fountain is full of choices. I really did enjoy the Blueberry lemonade. I will try the cucumber and mint lemonade next time.
The Stand has excellent food and...
