Denny's — Restaurant in Santa Cruz

I can't believe how this restaurant can continue on business without been cited ad fined due to the management lack of responsibility on protect and guarantee customer health safetyness. On July 01 2018 I traveling and stop on Denny's at oean at San tan Cruz California a person named Sarah who was nice attending us and seating s on the corner of the restaurant right next to restrooms and notice a gentleman seating next to as, this gentleman have bruses onbhis legs and from this bruses blood And a transparent liquit come out from his skin on his legs. I feel so sorry for this person honestly but also I feel very inconfortable as unsafe becuase Denny's restaurant management was Allowing this very serious unsafe conditions had happening into a public restaurant and avoid some how their responsibility's to maintained healthy inviroment in a food facility as well expose to the public in general. If I do understand correctly the health department prohibited this conditions in public places and also required restaurant to take in immediate correction acción tomada prevent their customer or public in general to be in touch with this issues to avoid been contagious by the blood or bady fluids. please if you love you self and you really care about you health and the health of your love ones please don't stop on this restaurant. .

After spoke to management of the horrible unsafe and very bad situation waa happening and I have be witnessed and believe missing of of responsibility as restaurant, for allowing such in a terrible situations happen inside this restaurant and expose us " customers" to a possible infection and be next to some one who unfortunately due to his health condition it's bleeding From his skin or body and clean up him self using napkins and touching tables any ways touch all over the place, using men restroom etc. Well when I call then in, in stead to fell sorry and emberreses, they show to be angry over the phone alwell on person becuase I was express my very inconfortable and desagreement with this situación. I end to leave the restaurant one hour to one hours and half becuase they never remove the person I really eat almost none of my food becuase feel unsafe to eat and also because am a correct educated person I never ask for refund I pay full price. After my complaints in persons as well over the phone Let me said that no apologies had have receive by Denny's restaurant management for that, neighter after I fill complaint online right at the time of my visit a call back with interest of the issue by any of the restaurant manager, assistant managers, area couch, director of operations neither the boss call me back. In stead When I contact the restaurant same thing no posive respond or apologies on their behalf plus they said their is nothing that they can do to avoid this issue. they preferred to serving a sick person who bleeding on table clean up their body fluids where other person eat to have issues with the rest of the public or other persons in stead to take responsibility in confront this unhealthy situation that they allowes into the restaurant. They have the legal reaponsability and power to avoid and when occurred this situations take corrective actions to correct in the same instant. But what I really see after their lack of management process and procedures to maintain this in a healthy conditions I do notice On top they when angry becuase I have this concern. It's obslute unacceptable in unsafer conditions and horrendously situations. I try to be nice and intent to contact the restaurant regarding this and after seeing their negative, I have to take as a public the the rights to take actión in report this restaurant to the health department on santa...

VAGRANTS!! Smoking methamphetamines by front door of restaurant this morning at 0500am. A female, obviously strung out on crank was complaining that the rest room wasn't clean enough for her to sleep in... I come to Santa Cruz to work and this is the only place open at the hour I need, except fast food joints. I have eaten here every morning for two weeks and only one morning did I NOT see problems with addicts, homeless and filthy people both outside and inside the restaurant. I have to leave my table every few minutes to go check my truck to make sure it is still secure because the restaurant won't let me sit at a table where I can see it directly. Several mornings there were very strange people either sleeping on the sidewalk right outside the front door or accosting me for change while I walked in. Of all the Denny's I eat at, this is the most uncomfortable restaurant I have ever been to for the reasons stated above. Frankly if there were any other choices available anywhere nearby I'd never come back. This is NOT the wait staff's fault either as there is only one female waitress on duty who cannot be expected to wait tables and police the bums outside as well, even though she does try and did so several times while I was there. In fact I heard her call the police at least twice over the crank smokers and female in the restroom. For the little over an hour I was in the restaurant and while I have been writing this in the parking lot, the cops never showed up either. There needs to be a security gaurd stationed here during hours of darkness to keep the bums away/out of the restaurant. However there isn't one, which is clearly a management/ownership policy of pinching pennies at the expense of site security and customer comfort. Shame on them!!

The food is typical Denny's fare and is usually prepared as I am used to, as I eat at some Denny's somewhere in the state virtually every day at least once per day. Once you get inside and sit down, the service/food is usually about what I expect for Denny's...

The worst service every received. Was told it would b a 20 minute wait, when ask if our table was ready after 20 minutes. They said they gave the table to someone else and it would b a very time to wait continue to wait for a table for 12. So we requested to sit in separate booths. They then proceeded to tell us that they were going to put it all on one check so they could get a large gratuity we told them no and to make sure they split it all up into separate booths. They were not happy about that. My friends and the two boost beside us had one waitress that took thier order, serve them got their food got them refills. Nobody was there to serve us a manager came and took our order minutes later after everybody else's. We Never received refills on her drinks the entire visit after our friends and both boots were done eating we still have not received our food waited over 2 hours when our food came none of the order was correct a Sriracha Burger was just a cheeseburger no strawberries in the strawberry pancakes i ordered they gave me a side of strawberries, took the burger back slaps and some sauce and Jalapenos in the burger we ordered season cheesy fries they gave us an order seasoned fries and a separate order of cheesy fries. We asked for a side of ranch she came in through the ranch at our table then proceeded to get upset because we asked for additional one and yelled back to the kitchen saying she was not going to serve our table anymore I have never been so humiliated so hungry and upset I had never been so disrespected or had this kind of service ever in my life I am upset disappointed when we talked to the manager she didn't show any concern and was acting like it was our problem not hers. We should not have paid for any of that food or service I will make sure everybody knows not to go to...
