Ferrell's Donut House — Restaurant in Santa Cruz

The owner of this establishment should be prosecuted for hate-crimes because the way he treats people whom he suspects don't live in houses. When sees people on bicycles or walking stop to rest or talk in HIS parking lot he empties a bucket of dirty mop-water suddenly within inches of them and then if they dare speak(who couldn't?) he's feigns be afraid for his safety, causes a scene, and then calls the cops. I seen this more than once but of course he has all kinds of other stunts up his greasy, grimy sleeves. What a louse! A past employee told me that he pees( yes! He put PeePee in) on the stale donuts before they go to the dumpster. V Even if the owner was Mr. Congeniality instead of the Crapt Keeper, there is much redeeming about the Westside Ferrell's; it's ugly outside, dirty and dark inside, the donuts are either stale and flavorless or dripping greasy, waxy and flavor, expensive ( $ 2.50 for 12oz. weak, tepid coffee; even 8:00 in the morning). Look, I don't like the health of donuts. And this is not a really impressive store. BUT I give it 5-stars because first of all, the donuts are truly extremely good tasting -- like really surprisingly so. Second, look at this business from a financial perspective. This poor guy clearly is not making much profit and I think he literally works and sleeps there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (even Christmas day). But he's nice and honestly this shop provides so much value to the Santa Cruz community, especially the homeless community that can come in and for a dollar, warm their hands, go to the bathroom and warm up. I would hate to think of the impact if this place didn't exist. So support him if you want to be surprised by what a quality donut can actually taste like, or if you want to support him and the $1-2 contribution in keeping Santa Cruz sane. Please 👍, if...

I find it ironic & most honorable to share this review, while my points are at a total of '10' 👐....on this Google site. For it is a tribute to a genuine heartfelt man, named T(h)en, i owe so much to in re: to my Appreciation Level & Brotherly Love. He not only has taken prime care of me for the last 40 yrs., but also endears the company hoo hoo are w/ me when i visit. Please come & experience THE FINEST bakery treats in all the Land. I mildly swear!!!😌 And if donuts aren't your thing....there exists a treat of all treats. One must request to have it warmed to perfection tho. It's a ham & cheese croissant ( w/ or w/o jalapenos) for $4.50 ea. Then you also will consider it an intrical food of nourishment, from a 24/7 Tree of Life.
