I honestly cannot believe I even have to write this, but here we are.

I’ve been coming to this Cracking Crab location for years. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars here, brought friends, recommended it to others, and always received a great customer service until today. Today, I was blatantly and publicly accused of stealing a nutcracker. Yes, you read that right. A $5 nutcracker.

After ordering a full meal and spending over $100, the server casually starts dropping comments like, “We have cameras, we can check later,” and “Can you guys check your bags?” as if I’m trying to smuggle out a cheap utensil I don’t even use. I don’t eat crab legs with a nutcracker, I don’t need one at home, and frankly, if I wanted one, I could buy ten elsewhere without breaking a sweat.

The sheer disrespect was unbelievable. I was treated like a criminal in a restaurant I’ve supported loyally. No apology. No tact. Just suspicion and attitude. It was humiliating and completely uncalled for.

Management, if you’re reading this: train your staff on how to approach customers with decency. You’ve just lost a loyal customer over a $5 nutcracker and I’ll be sure to let everyone in my circle know exactly how this location treats its paying customers. Absolutely...

Very very disappointing Spent over $80 and the boil (shrimp, corn, potatoes and crab) was the worst! The shrimp were dirty over-cooked and hard to open and taste like it was boiled in water out of the faucet - no flavor at all. The wings were fried with NO seasoning and their version of lemon pepper (some liquid with lots of garlic - eww) sauce was foreign to me - it turned rock hard after sitting for a few minutes without being stirred constantly. I do not recommend this place!

Notes for the cook

When making a boil the water has to be saesoned. Also uncleaned shrimp is a no no. Slicing the shrimp down the back will allow you to clean it and the shell will come off easier after the cook.

When cooking wings the sauce is the boss if you are not going to season them. Easy lemon pepper sauce is made with butter and lemon pepper seasoning not garlic. Heck YouTube is a good teacher.

Here's a sample how shrimp should look out of a boil (this is not from their boil):

Owner or whomever you are: I provided an honest review. Instead of firing back, negative remarks, concentrate on that dirty shrimp that you're cooking and do better. I don't need to open a restaurant - I chose a profession that suit me and I...

I eat there (in house) at least once a month and usually it's ok depending on the server you get . Take out TWICE a month , today I was asked to pay XTRA for lemons which I've NEVER had asked that before ? So I approached the OWNER and she said yes you will have to pay extra for more lemons , I was in un belief she told me that considering HOW MUCH I SPEND there ? What was MORE AMAZING to me she said you can go to Albertsons and get some for cheaper 😳 that BLEW my mind THE OWNER of this establishment WOULD SAY THAT for a $1 worth of lemons ??? I've done it before AND WILL NOW cook my own crablegz , shrimp ect FOR CHEAPER ! ! ! After this RUDE encounter ! PS I ONLY GOT 2 lemons for 30 shrimp, a SMALL pound of crab legs 😖 , ate at Tortilla Flats the afternoon before they gave me a cup full to take home NO ...

My grandkids love seafood boil, especially crab. We came to eat here for them after a football game my grandson played in. This food is so delicious and filling. We ordered the toss a net #1 with extra potatoes and corn. We also ordered the fried catfish andsideof rice with sweetpotatoesas an appetizer. Everything was so tasty that even though it was all Cajun style being spicy, there was nothing left. We added the boil spice into the rice, and it was delicious. I think if you happen to read this or see this restaurant on Google Maps, you must stop and eat here for sure. This place does not disappoint if there is a problem with anything address it immediately don't hesitate, and they will make it right. Now it may be a bit pricey, but for Santa Fe NM and seafood... seriously, good food, go ahead and splurge. Thank you, Sue!

Our 3lb boil was a bag of crab with 1 cob of corn, 1 potato, 1 sausage (for 3 people). This was certainly the poorest attempt at a boil that I have ever had. We had to pay extra to get corn for the rest of the table. The meal total was near $200. I’ve never been more bitter to pay a bill in my life. That said, the crab was good, but for the extreme high cost, absolutely not worth it. This is not a boil as you would get in Florida, or in the South. I will never return here.
