HomeGoods — Local services in Santa Fe

I've never shopped at a HomeGoods store before, but since the Santa Fe store has opened, I've been there twice. Both times my experiences were pleasant. I like the merchandise, the quality of items really impressed me and the store has a lot of very cute and lovely items. With the loss of Pier 1, I was hoping to find a place with the same sort of merchandise. I think I have. Today, while shopping with my family, we noticed some some appalling behavior from the manager. At the check out an elderly woman was trying to pay for her items and for whatever reason her check wouldn't process properly. The young cashier didn't know what was wrong so she got the manager. Frustrated and unable to help, he was rude and quite nasty to the woman, implying that her check was no good and that she didn't have any money. I was mortified for the woman. He was not courteous nor did he speak to her in a quiet voice, so those of us standing near the check out could hear. He was condescending and rude to her. She, nor any other customer, deserves to be spoken to by anyone like that, especially by a manager. Where is the customer service and the respect? I will shop here again but will be wary of...

Literally came here to leave a review because this place is not it. I very politely asked the woman at the cashier (because I walked around the store 3 times and couldn’t find anyone who worked there) where the I could find the aisle with the toys. She looked at me like I had 19 eyes and loudly me “uh NO, we’ve NEVER had toys.” ….I’ve lived here 5 years and they have ALWAYS had some toys in the back 2 aisles near the towels/linen. When I started to point to the area they usually are that she snapped and yelled “that’s only for Christmas!” Which isn’t at all true. Super hateful for literally no reason. It wasn’t even what she was saying but the completely nasty way she said it, totally unprovoked. All of this is happening in front of other customers. I was just like ok! and started walking away and she begins to say loudly “have a great day!” But super rude and really unprofessional. I have no idea why you would choose to work in customer service/retail if someone asking a question sets you off so hard. The recent reviews are pretty much correct IMO. Always loved you guys but you need to update your hours on Google and other places. We came around at 8 cause Google said you were open til 9 and turned out you closed at 7pm. It says temporary but this has been going on for months. This was true 3 months ago when we came by too. There were 6 other people who came to the door or drove by and asked if you were closed while we were trying to see if you were. Please just be open when you told the internet you would be open.
