In no particular order… The rooms are dark, dingy, and dirty. The paint color is drab The ceilings are maybe 7’-0”. The height of a door plus the molding. Average ceiling height in a home is 8’-0”. Newer and nicer places are 9’ or 10’. The low ceiling makes everything worse. There are screws and nails left in the walls and doors and are sticking out / painted over. The staff, while friendly enough, doesn’t seem to be well trained. They didn’t know how to stop the red light from flashing on my phone and suggested I unplug it. They didn’t know how to dim or turn off the incredibly bright light on the air conditioner. I was told there’s a button on the remote, except I have a different remote in my room. Then I was told one of the maintenance guys was literally pressing every button on the remote trying to figure out how to do this. When that failed, they opted for taping over the light. No one even bothered to tidy the cords from table lamps. Wherever someone painted a wall, they got paint on everything else. How about taping off or removing things so you avoid getting paint on the towel bar or the adjacent wall. The shower curtain rod was installed too low, so the shower curtain is on the floor of the tub. The rod was also not installed properly. Clearly something else had been hanging there, but no one bothered to fill in or replace the tiles. The bathroom ceiling and fan are filthy. The kitchen is a joke. Hot plate, tiny sink, barely any counter. The place looks like a basement apartment but it’s on the first floor. The doors are dirty The floors are cracked and dirty. The curtains barely cover the windows and ultimately let in a lot of light. The curtain rods are mismatched and hung in a bizarre manner. “Art” seems to be hung randomly. The so called fireplace that I paid extra for is not a fireplace. No one ever, during my entire stay, asked how I was enjoying my stay. The eggs came out of a box, they are not fresh. The espresso drinks are made by pressing a button on a machine, not by a barista. And yet they have no problem charging as if you’re at a nice coffee shop. I don’t know if these people don’t care or if they can’t afford to fix anything. Either way I’m offended by what I was charged to stay here. The best thing I can say is it’s in a good location. This way, if you want coffee or breakfast, you can easily walk somewhere worthy of your money.

This is a quaint set of properties that occupy such tight spaces it defies physics. Parking is exciting depending on which section you stay in. Most rooms have kitchenettes but some don't so ask ahead so you aren't surprised to find you don't. Front desk staff are a true delight and helpful, as are the breakfast service folks. This is an older property so you get refitted spaces, not a true right angle anywhere and sloping flooring. This is old school "real" Santa Fe so if unique irks you please go to the Hilton or something. We greatly enjoyed the fireplace in our room and the property is very quiet except the buildings make a lot of odd settling noises during the night. Ours tapped Morse code from about 5 to 7 am. Rooms are divided by charming paths and patios with whimsical art touches throughout. Not even remotely handicap accessible, be warned. It's a bit of a risk if you are at all clumsy/unsteady, lots of uneven surfaces, sloped parking lots, etc. Not good if you stagger back inebriated from Vanessie.

Delightful hotel! It's quirky and fun, filled with art and spread across historic buildings. Our casita suite is charming, including kitchenette and corner fireplace. It's reached by crossing the street from the lobby and going into a courtyard: you feel like you're entering Secret Santa Fe. Staff is great (friendly, prompt, and bilingual), breakfast delicious. Reasons for the 4 stars: It's just not a luxury property. My husband would be happier paying double or quadruple at Four Seasons. The rooms are small, furnishings a little shabby. But it's quaint. Breakfast is included, simple and good. You order at the counter from 5 or 6 selections, and food brought to table. Coffee, water, juice, and pastries are self-serve. In short, whether you love it (as I do) or not depends on what you're looking for.

Don't stay unless you like paying for over priced rooms that are dirty, leaky, smells, falling apart and disgusting. I reached out to the managemnt resolution without success. While there another customer came in extremly upset, screaming this is NOT what I paid for. The staff seem use to the response from the customers. I wasn't the only one! This is why I give it 1 star First, I wanted to mention the front desk was amazing. However, the stay was NOT what was expected. Its very disappointing from what was shown on the website from the actual stay. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ! Room 29 smelled so bad when we arrived, we tried to air it out but it remained. It was disgusting but we were tired and made the best of it. Room 37 was the worst of the stay. The mattress was full of other people's hair. It looked unclean and the mattress was HORRIBLE! We didn't get ANY SLEEP. We ended up being exhausted from no sleep. The mattress needs to be changed, its hard as a Rock. Looks old and not clean. (we used our blankets) The place had hair balls all over. Yes, hair balls because they didn't clean the room. Blonde hair and light brown. Very disgusting and dirty. The bathroom curtain has spots of blood (BLOOD) and the cabinets falling apart and the bottom of the shower looked so dirty. Toilet doesn't flush correctly and the drains dont drain properly. Water was leaking from the wash basin all over the floor. Floors looked dirty! The seats in the room looked disgusting to sit on FULL of stains, and most of the walls are full of dirt and splashed fluids. There was so much dirt in the vents and basins. The wall and plaster falling off the walls. The walls look like they are falling apart. Not what is described in the details about the property. The PICTURES are decieving NOT happy- absolutely don't feel I have to pay for a room we couldn't fully utilize. Because its suppose to be a hotel room for rest and comfort both we didn't get here. Considering the state of the room and the condition. WOW don't see why people are giving it 5 stars. Its disgusting and not what you have pictured on you website or travel sites.

This is very very deceiving for your customers.

The rooms need to be cleaned, bedding washed and changed and it needs major updates. MAJOR UPDATES in the rooms. Plumbing does't work correctly and leaks all over the floors. It looks like it falling apart both inside and out.

The front desk was very nice to change rooms. It was because of their polite attitude, I was able to calm down. If not I would have left asking for the remaining night to be canceled. But didn't want to be charged for the room. They gave us another room a bit better but similar problems with plumbing and lack of cleaning. I emailed and called the manager only for no response. I wouldn't stay here again. I visit Santa fe at least 3 times a year. It looked like a nice place to stay and we wanted to try a new place. WE ARE STICKING WITH WHAT WE KNOW! DO NOT WASTE YOUR HERE MONEY UNLESS YOU LIKE RUN DOWN HOTELS WITH HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM MANAGEMENT EXTREMELY...

Hi! I have never written a negative review before, but here it goes..... Wow. DO NOT STAY HERE!

I booked Las Palomas because the Inn at Alameda was booked already and I was looking for another quaint bed and breakfast in Santa Fe. It looked okay online, so I thought I'd give it a try... maybe this is my new favorite spot!?

We arrived early and they said they still needed to clean the room (absolutely normal) and would give us a call when it was done. Well... 4 hours later and no call, so drove back to see if it was ready and it was (we were exhausted had just traveled all day long and were just killing time until the room was ready - would have really appreciated a call, but still no big deal - they were probably busy). We were given our room keys and directed to the room... No offer to help with bags or walk us to the room - also totally fine... just less than welcoming.

When we found our room (got lost twice) it was basically a small dingy basement apartment. There was a fireplace in there as promised, but it was a tiny wood burning stove tucked into a hole in the wall. The furniture was all old goodwill couches and lamps. It looked like we were staying in a thrift store. Finally, we walked into the bathroom to find an old (not in the charming way) stained tub. Shocked at what I had seen and the price of $350+/night, I asked to see another room. He said they were very busy and booked for the weekend, but could show me one that was still dirty. Ok... So that room just looked about the same but it was in a newer building. He said that was all they had, so I decided to book at one of my other favorite places (Hotel St. Francis) and forgo our Goodwill Suite. When I told the guy at the front desk, he just said, "Ok, you're free to go" and I gave him the keys. I assumed I would get a refund when nothing was said about being charged for the night.

Fast forward a week later, I'm home from my trip (BTW Hotel St. Francis made it all so much better - very clean, large room with top notch service and grace). I'm going over my credit card statement when I notice that there is not a refund for Las Palomas. Ok, I'm thinking maybe they made a mistake or it just didn't get done. So I call and they tell me they will not refund me. They argue with me, very unprofessionally, and finally say they will only refund me half of my room rate. Wow! I am floored. There was no communication about this at any step, no effort in trying to make my stay there more accommodating and to wrap it up the person on the phone basically hung up on me!

I couldn't be more surprised and disappointed in a hospitality experience. I really hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. Do NOT waste your money here. Even if its a little less than somewhere else, it is LEAPS AND BOUNDS behind other hotels...

This place could be so much better. I wish everyone who loved their rooms would say which rooms they were in. We were in Fireplace Super Casita 40 for three nights. The Entry - the railing on the stairs is too low. There was a garbage can on the deck that was still full of the previous guests' food garbage. The living room - the pilot light to the fireplace was on, but it was unplugged. It was too warm. I called the front desk because the remote would not turn it off. Oscar tried plugging in the fireplace and that enabled the remote to work. The tv is mounted way too high on the wall for it to be comfortable viewing for anyone. We watched the baseball playoffs. Our first night the remote/tv went crazy. The volume went to 100 on its own and could not be controlled. We called the front desk and after more than an hour the problem was resolved with finding us a new remote. The kitchen - there is not dish drainer and no dish towels. There is an oven and stove, but no pans that you could actually put into an oven. There were packets of coffee, but only decaf. Bathroom - there was an over-the-door multi-hook metal thing that had to be removed to get the bathroom door to shut. There was a weird and very dangerous narrow step to get in an out of the shower. both of us nearly fell getting out of the shower. The glass partition is inadequate to keep water from soaking the floor/bathmat. There was a semicircle hole in the tile floor next to one wall about the size of a half dollar that seemed to lead under the casita. Cold air came through it. Bedroom - There were two west-facing windows that were properly blinded and shaded. There was a south-facing window outside of which was a bright three globe lamp post. That window had only a canvas roman blind and the light coming through it at night was quite bright. Our bed was comfortable. When the night manager (?) was dealing with our tv/remote volume issue I asked about getting regular coffee and about the missing bath robes (They advertise bath robes in every room) For both of these things he said they had run out and that we would receive them "tomorrow". We never did. The breakfast was pretty good. We only tried the burrito and the cinnamon roll. The burrito was fine; the cinnamon roll was stale. The indoor area for eating was stuffy - needed an open window. I really think the owners should spend the night in each of their rooms and see what it is really like. I thought I was splurging for a really special treat for my husband and me. It was really disappointing. I would not...
