Firehouse Subs Piazza Fiorina — Restaurant in Santa Fe

I eat here so frequently, you might coincidentally see me in the store with you after reading this review. One of my Uber drivers asked me what it is that makes firehouse good.

My reply: The bread.

The meat is always delicious and the food always satisfies...but make no mistake, the bread is the foundation of the sandwich. and Firehouse does this quite well.

The staff is always friendly and I never feel rushed -- whether its middle of the day or minutes to closing.

Furthermore, there arent many places to get Peach Fanta .... mmmm. Could be my timing, but their soda machine seems always operational and filled with what I like.

Dont know what you want? A great introduction to Firehouse: Cheddar and Beef Brisket. Sounds simple, taste ripples through your temples and accentuates your dimples.

And the rewards program is not bad. The rewards are meaningful and frequent enough to make the effort but not cry if you mess...

I typically love this place but I have learned that if Kyle isn't working, then quality doesn't exist at this location. Today, I picked up an order for my husband. The guy behind the counter assumed I was my husband and kept addressing me as "Sir" which pissed me off because I am a woman with 2 kids with me. Then the French Dip sandwich did not come with the dipping sauce because "they ran out and don't want to make more". In the same sandwich, we found paper. Then my veggie sandwich had a piece of roast beef hidden in the onion (I'm allergic to beef). It was obvious they weren't cleaning the surfaces because my kids' sandwich had barbecue sauce underneath it and on the ends where they cut it. This place is awful on weekends and anytime Kyle isn't there. When Kyle is working, everything is perfect. I walked in this restaurant yesterday evening at about 6pm. Two of the female employees were sitting at one of the tables laughing, talking, and eating. The young man who was supposed to be making sandwiches was yelling at the girls about not wanting to serve me. Basically it turned into a shouting match behind the counter about "who had to take the customer" I stood there for about 5 minutes totally ignored. I ended up walked out after feeling unwelcome. I called to ask the name of the shift leader working and the girl hung up the phone on me then refused to awnser the phone. I am going back tomorrow to speak to whoever owns this franchise and to tell them they have employees who don't want to work and treat people like garbage. I am actually staying in the hotel next door because my Dad is in the hospital and I hadn't eaten all day. Shame...
