I have to say, there is no other place that I will ever purchase a custom knife, EVER.
The staff here is incredible. If you want to picture the experience you might have here, I would imagine walking into someone's living room, sitting down and talking over coffee. The people are very polite, and very professional. Now, here is my experience.
7 years ago I walked into this store with my grandparents at 16 years old. I fell in love with a Kershaw Leek with a hand-crafted mother of pearl inlay. It was gorgeous (and still is!) and i purchased it and still have it at home. Now a few weeks ago I revisited Santa Fe Stoneworks to take a look at what they have, and ask about having a repair done on my Leek. Since my last visit, a piece of the inlay had chipped off and in need of repair. Not only was I greeted warmly with a big smile and wonderful attitude, before I could even explain anything about what was wrong with my knife I was told, "just send it back in! It has a life time warranty!" in a tone that was very joyful and quite frankly its the best attitude I've ever seen for warranty work. After that I browsed around until I found something that I thought was pretty interesting. I won't say what it was specifically, but I had some custom work ordered on a new Leek and received an active duty military discount that I couldn't argue with. I told Jamie, one of the managers and one of the nicest people I've met in a long time, that I would be leaving that Friday (this was on Monday) and that if it happened to be done by then to give me a call. Long story short, I got a call Thursday afternoon saying to stop on by, and I was so impressed with work and how personable the whole experience was that I ordered another one as a gift for my brother right there the same day. I will be sending my old one in for the repair I mentioned soon. All in all, you will not find anything like their work anywhere else, and if you do, you won't have the same experience I can guarantee that. I will be a frequent customer, supporter, and suggester for...
Read moreThis place has such good customer service. Amazing. My mom and I went there, and she bought me a knife for my birthday. When were on a trip to Sante Fe, and I love knives, so we stopped in there (my mom called before, and asked if they have factory tours, and they said no, but they still let me come in). there was no people in there except the cashier (her name was Jamie and she is nice) and she greeted us kindly. We told her what we were looking for, and our price range. She asked us if we wanted to have custom stones, and I, liking custom things, said yes. So I got a Kershaw leek with a lapis scales and mother of pearl inlay. Then she took us into the factory, and she showed us around. There was a really nice guy on a grinder, who was grinding stones, and we took a picture with him. then she showed us around, and showed us the kinds of stones we will get. I still wanted the stones, and she took some stones out, and had the man grind it. then she took it to the bufferers, and they polished it. Then she handed the stones to me. I was amazed, and I still have the stones. thank you Sante...
Read moreI have purchased many of their knives, and they have a great variety of finishes and the knives are beautiful. The knives are also extremely sharp, and stay that way. Their customers service is amazing; I put a couple of knives in the dishwasher by accident, and some of the wood came off the handles. For a suggested - not required - small donation to cover the cost of shipping (it was my fault, after all!) Santa Fe Stoneworks put the wood back on and the knives look as beautiful as ever. I have also bought a set of silverware and a set of steak knives that are exquisite. I am a completely satisfied customer, and will keep coming...
