I love shopping at target and spend a lot of money there. Usually the workers are all right. Except for today, I went to go return a few things. When I first got there there was nobody at customer service. So I decided to shop around a little bit, once I was almost done I saw workers at customer service. I decided to go do my return. This lady asked me if I had my receipt I proceeded to tell her that I didn’t. she said that they could look it up with my card, I said “I don’t think I paid with my card. You can check, but I’m pretty positive I paid with cash.” I don’t use my card very much, and I didn’t happen to have it on me. She right away, told me that she wasn’t gonna be able to do my return because I didn’t pay with the credit card or didn’t have my receipt. I am bad at keeping track of my receipts. I usually just throw them away. She said she couldn’t do it. so I asked he if she could just give me a store credit, because I’ve done it before with my ID. So she scanned my items, she continue to look at my ID for a minute and I don’t even think she scanned it. She said she did, but she said that the computer wouldn’t let her return it, so I understood that and didn’t really have too much of a problem with her not being able to do it, but I would like to see their policy on returns which she said that she didn’t know what it was That the computer just is telling her she can’t do it. While I was speaking to her the phone ring, and she answered the phone right while I was in the middle of talking to her, asking her if I could get a print out of their return policy. It was very rude and disrespectful She could have waited until I was done speaking or had her co worker next to her answer the phone. I work in customer service and that is not good customer service. They should really teach their workers to finish with the customer before they answer the phone, not answer it in the middle of when a customer is talking to them, or return policy on the back of a receipt. Read moreDoes TARGET really care anymore? We went shopping at our only Target store in town and saw that they had zero cashiers at 9:30 am to which we asked why? A front desk manager (or assistant) was asked where all the cashiers were at? Her answer was that "no one wanted to work that early" to which is I told her," I seriously doubt that is a fact or a true statement." I asked her again and then she replied, "no one wanted to work anymore?!" This is a blatant lie and she knows that, shame on the company. Upon further investigation we found out from a couple of workers that Target has drastically cut employee hours shortly after raising the hourly wage to $15.00 per hour. May I remind you guys that Target net worth as of June 14, 2022 is $67.15B. Target Corp!!!! They are currently under remodeling so, you would figure they would have more people on staff. I first noticed that Target was cutting down on cashiers since November of 2018. We made a couple of trips that month and the lines of customers were LONG, they had several cash registers but hardly any cashiers. Their managers were rushing people to use "self cash out" instead. If you are going to push "self checkout" then give your customers "an employee discount" because you decided not to have employees. We decided not return and go elsewhere and have since discovered several folks in my neighborhood discussing this issue. I wish Target the best of luck. I have had experiences where customers show up at stores and throw tantrums because associates did not products on hold? REALLY!
