3/10/23 It's a whole new level of incompetence. I was stood up for installation service (supposedly included with my purchase) again. The installation order was ridiculously incorrect to begin with. Everyone I spoke with talks about what is in the system which has been incorrect on every single level of this $8,000 purchase of appliances. The hours and frustration are endless. Save yourself and give up. They won't show, they won't install, they won't get anything right the first, second or third time. The store credit I was promised at the time of purchase has completely disappeared. Escalation and resolution division promised to take care of it. Now there is an order for installation that I have to pay for even though in was included in the order. Save yourself. Do not buy here.
Worst retail experience ever. Worst.
3/2/23, The frustrations are endless. I have been stood up by the installers, every manager that looks at the transaction does not understand what the last one did. I have spent hours. If you cannot carry it out don't buy there. It's ridiculously burdensome. Worse system I have ever seen. I like the people I have worked with. Just when I think everything is taken care of it goes wrong. Worst worst retail experience ever.
Unbelievable. Best Buy cannot handle large orders. Buy 1 item or buy instore. A large order of appliances, although priced reasonably, cannot seem to be coordinated for delivery. Out of ten appliances I have had 2 stoves attempt to deliver to the wrong house on the wrong date. I have had to reschedule due to construction. Best Buy picks random dates to deliver, constantly sends messages by text, email and phone calls with wrong dates. I have called, and gone to the store several times to straighten things out. Really it was not that complicated. As of today when they called with another random delivery request and I responded with frustration, they canceled the order completely. I have never experienced such a confused, frustrating, inaccurate, time consuming, difficult retail sale. Not one person got it right. The computer system is getting blamed but after at least 6 attempts to get it right they gave up and canceled the order I spent hours putting together with them. This is not a lack of personel issue. This is DO NOT BUY IN BULK...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI agree with many of the reviews here, this store's service is absolutely terrible! Driving to Albuquerque will save you time and frustration, even if you live in Santa Fe. I have been to this location a few times and each time I go there none of the employees seem to know anything. For starters I went in once asking for canned air or a air duster. The first employee I asked didn't even know what it was. They then grab a second employee who quickly tells me they don't carry it. I've bought canisters at many Best Buys, knowing they carry it, I continued to look around to no avail. As I'm walking out the door I catch a glimpse of it on the wall near Geek Squad, apparently at this location they keep it behind the counter. We skip ahead a few days to the midnight release of the PS4. I live an hour away from this location so its definitely not an easy drive. I call around 8pm to see if they were still going to do the midnight release and if was still first come first serve. The employee quickly responds with "yes we will be doing the midnight release and that who ever comes first at midnight will receive one of the 15 extras that we have". I leave the house, get there at 9 and then sit in the car for an hour. The first car pulls up and a line begins to form; awesome looks like I will be the second one in line. A manager comes out to say that if you didn't have a ticket or preorder you would not be getting a PS4 tonight. This was rather irritating! When I asked the manager when he had given out the tickets, he said noon. I called at 8 why didn't the employee tell me then! It doesn't stop there...8 days later...This is the day before you can buy the preorders that were not picked up. I called the store and found that 3 had not been picked up. Cool, I still have a chance at getting one. I ask what time they open and the employee tells me 10am. I wake up at 8 and get there at 9 and find out that they had opened at 8 and gave the PS4s away already. This time I rant at the Best Buy manager about his employees constantly giving incorrect information and all he responds with is well we have our hours posted online with a smirk. This just shows how little the employees at this location care. I will never return to this location and honestly I hope this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust entering the store, I received a "How can I help you?"
"I'm looking for an aux cable."
"An .... aux cable.... for what device?"
"It's, like a male three-and-a-half millimeter to male three-and-a-half millimeter audio cable."
"OK, what are you trying to use it on?"
"Um, for example, to plug your phone into a car stereo to play music."
"Alright, I'd look over there first, but maybe it's in components."
We're standing at the front of the store, and when the employee says "there" he makes a sweeping gesture that covers about 270 degrees of the store behind him. All I can do is an "OK, thanks."
And then I spend 10 minutes covering every single aisle wondering what "components" is, until I finally found an aux cable in the home theater cable section. I guess that's components.
Best Buy has turned into the place where if you want it or need it, they don't got it. Even finding a dumb little trinket you can probably get at a gas station is, like, an ordeal.
Here are examples of things you cannot get at Best Buy: I was thinking about getting a Remarkable e-paper tablet for work, and saw they had cases for Remarkable, so naively I went to buy a Remarkable tablet. No, they just have cases. Looking for some sort of e-paper writable tablet, they had this Amazon thing on display, but the bottom half of the screen wouldn't receive touch input so you couldn't go through all the screens to get to the demo mode. I asked an employee over to make sure I'm not just doing it wrong and they say "Oh, I understand. This is just a display unit with a paper screen, it's not actually functional." I show the employee it can get through a few different screens before failing, and get a "Oh, well, I'll pass that along"
-Car radio, speakers, amplifiers, or wiring. Best Buy no longer does this. The website will tell you these things are in stock at the Santa Fe store, but that is a lie.
-Motherboard audio glitching out, so needed a USB DAC/sound card. No.
-Any audio CD, to test out a customer's car...
