I absolutely LOVE Michaelâs as a company and I have been a loyal customer for many years. However this specific location has TERRIBLE customer service. I drive all the way from Taos to Santa Fe often to buy things from Michaelâs. I have recently tried returning items at this Santa Fe location and was refused because âthey didnât have money in the drawer.â Mind you I attempted my return at the end of the day so being that they are the only location in Santa Fe and they had a full day of service I assumed they would have enough money to return $60. However that was not the case. Both women were very rude and offered no type of solution. So I wasted my time and gas driving from Taos just to be refused my return. All items were brand new and accompanied by original receipt. This isnât the first time I had a bad experience with customer service here, along with my mother who has been treated poorly by employees here as well. I will continue shopping at Michaelâs however Iâll pass right by this one and drive all the way to Albuquerque instead. Itâs saddening that people lack basic customer service skills and show no sense of empathy or emotional engagement. It was almost as if I was talking to a computer. No legit reason for refusal, no solution and absolutely no acknowledgment of the fact Iâd driven 70 miles from home. If I wasnât in the customer service industry myself Iâd probably stop shopping at Michaelâs all together however I have yet to experience these things at other stores...
   Read moreJust had a print reframed. Michael's staff were very helpful throughout the process. The matte and exterior frame choices were extensive, stylish, and tasteful. They have a digitized mock up program which was new to me. They photograph the artwork, and type in the matte and frame codes. Within minutes I got to see what the piece would look like prior to making a final decision. It was VERY helpful and kept me from making a big mistake on one on the matte choices: What I thought might look nice didn't look as good once it was mocked up on this program.
They called when the artwork was back in the store - ready by promised date. When I arrived to pick up my piece, a nice young man removed the protective brown paper (yay! Better than a plastic bag) so I could see the frame results prior to leaving the store. The result exceeded my expectations. It looks classy and beautiful! The price was reasonable for the materials and craftsmanship. Thanks Michael's!...
