They're getting a 3, but a bit of a stretch. When they are "on", the donuts are great -- a 5+. But a good number of my visits lately have been disappointing due to baking slips. When you spend $5 for a single donut (or in this case, a "cronut") you expect it to be edible. The one I got a month ago was delicious, the one I got a week ago had to be tossed -- raw dough in the middle, and it still makes me sick to think about biting into it. The Boston Cremes are good -- but they can have so much filling that it soaks through the bottom and drops out when you pick up the donut, or you can barely find the scant tablespoon after eating what is a mere chocolate covered raised donut. Finally, pricing depends on who's behind the counter. My favorite lemon pistachio donut can be $3 or $4 -- depends on who is dishing it out. Always a surprise to get the bill, which is not a good thing. I still go back, but I don't take company there -- too...
Read moreDid you change the way you are cooking the Lavender Blueberry Donuts? To me this was the most special donut ever and one that I looked forward to enjoying every Saturday! Now when I get them they are saturated completely through with oil. The first time it happened I ate it anyway and had stomach cramps the rest of the day. I thought maybe that was just a fluke, so I have bought them on four subsequent occasions because I loved them so much and each time has been the same-- saturated to the very core with cooking oil such that you could actually pinch the donut and squeeze oil from it-- no more cakey interior, because it has absorbed all the oil during cooking. I threw each of those out and just cant buy any more. I hope the cooking method can be scrutinized and adjusted to correct the oil situation, because these really were the best donuts anywhere, and I would love to treat myself...
Read moreWe have been stopping by Whoo's several times over the past year and a half as we pass through Santa Fe during our travels. First visit was wonderful - chatted it up with the owner, sampled various donuts - all wonderful. Last few visits - barely a greeting. Favorite donut is the blue corn/lavendar. Just so unique. BUT...our visit this week, four donuts = $18! The donuts were over fried - very dark in color and lacking the cake-like interior from our past visits. My husband was very excited to try their pizza - but couldn't get consistent info online as to whether or not they were open on Sundays. Not open on Sundays as of 11/2/25. Sadly, not sure we'll be back based on underwhelming customer service, price point and inconsistent info...
