I was planning to eat at planning to eat at M Street's sister restaurant, Stella Barra. In fact, we called the night before to ask about making reservations for Monday night (they only take reservations for 6 or more BTW, and we only had a party of 4). So when I arrived on Monday night to get a table, I was shocked to hear from the hostess that the restaurant had been "bought out" that night for a private party. It would have been nice if the person I spoke with the night before had let me know that I couldn't get ANY table that night. So since we were already here, we decided to eat next door at M Street.

We started with some appetizers. First was the Tuna Tostadas, which were actually pretty good. They use Ahi Tuna, and pair it with watermelon, Thai chile, avocado, and cilantro. Next up was their Pulled Chicken Nachos. Wow, what a huge disappointment. The first problem was they were basically served cold, so no melty cheese. The second problem was the meager amount of toppings on the chips. These rate as the worst nachos I've ever been served at a restaurant.

For my entree I had the Double Deck Turkey Burger, and opted for their homemade English muffin for the bun. It was actually pretty good, and I chose fries as my side order, which were also pretty good.

Our waiter was great, and was always available when we needed him. The food came out quickly after we ordered too.

Overall this meal was just OK. I've had better experiences at this restaurant in the past. They alway send out a $20 off dinner coupon this time of year, which is the reason I come back each year. Otherwise, the menu is overpriced for the quality of food...

A group, the Santa Monica holistic Chamber of Commerce there Monday evening. It is a beautiful restaurant and the service was very good considering that we were not ordering as a group but as individuals. So each of the bills with separate and our server did a great job considering how many people and all the different orders and requests. They actually add on a service charge since it seems that one time there was confusion about what was going on. So I applaud the management for taking charge and implementing efficient ways in which to accommodate both their own flow as well as the group and individual customers. The food is very good, lots of great choices! Both wine and bar menu seem to be quite extensive and overall it has a wonderful atmosphere. The decor is also very pleasing to the eye, lots of...

My previous review was five stars because of happy hour. Now it’s the worst happy hour. Same food increased by 65% overnight. Apparently the general manager worked one shift of happy hour and decided to jack up the prices. I used to get veggie tacos for $2 each and you could order individually. Now it’s $10 for 3 tacos and you have to order the whole plate. The exact same tacos. So instead of $6 it’s now $10 for the exact same thing no extra sides or anything. The cheese burger went from $5 which was a good deal. To $9. Which is not a good deal. For the exact same product. I used to come here every other week for happy hour. I will never go back. Whenever someone asked me for a happy hour recommendation I always told them about you. But not anymore. Thanks for a...

So packed you have to go in-between service, and for good reason: the fresh, crispy pretzel croissants WERE the best of any bakery in town, anywhere actually. We miss out favorite root veggie hash though! Note: no the croissants either - and for good reason, why we love this place. The manager ruefully told me their bakery stopped making them and the new bakery was not up to par. The high quality food is fine; but the service so great that any visit is a happy one! (the free underground parking is gone too!)

Had dinner here, friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere. Went before 6.30 so kids ate for free and it was happy hour food and drinks. Service was good, food was on point and the beers were nice and cold. Kids meals were lovely and well presented. Could get a double pram inside but it also wasn't that busy either. Would go again.

Got the organic salmon poke with a side of handcut fries. The food was delicious! The fries were only $1 during the happy hour (4pm-6:30pm). The only negative part of the experience was that the waiter didn't refill my glass even once and took a very long time to bring me the check. First world problems amirite? :P
