Bamboo Willie's Beachside Bar on Pensacola Beach — Restaurant in Santa Rosa Island

Top notch frozen adult drinks, I always stop here. Never had a bad experience until last night. Manger Charlie rude and very obnoxious. Stood waiting to be serviced and no one help. I took matters into my own hand and walked behind the counter, interrupting one of the servers while having a personal conversation. The young man I walked up on, turn to me and looked away and continued to talk amongst the young lady on the other side of the counter. Once he finished his conversation. He then walked over to the other serves who were also having a full conversation amongst themselves. Shortly after they all disappeared, bring back a guy who was super rude. He advised me not to walk behind the counter. I expressed that I was waiting to get serviced but no one was help. I stood there waving my hand in the air attempting to get help before I decided to walk behind the counter to asked for help. Later on I learned his name was Charlie. He asked me would I go behind the bank counter... after hearing him compare several establishments to your company. I then asked does he not care that all the guys working were standing there talking having personal conversations instead of serving me. He then said it doesn't matter what goes behind this counter to never walk behind the counter. That they would assist once they were available. Wow, I have never had such a terrible experience. This is the 2nd time we have visited this place. We are not locals and just wanted a place to have fun and enjoy. The atmosphere feels very cold. The 2 piece band was doing very well and we honestly thought the last visit was just a bad day. We sat down on a round table and waited for a server. No signs saying anything about servers or other wise. I went to the bar and asked about service. I asked if they had waiters (Bartender said where are you sitting, ) I said and pointed to the direction then he was being very smirky and said we don't have a waiters. I asked him so do you have food , he said NO WE ARE A BAR.again in a smerky attitude. I then asked him if we order at the bar and he said you order here. Long story short we left as it did not feel welcoming for out of town guest. The reason I said out of town is because next to me 2 guys sat down and he was a happy camper and fist bumped then and that's when I just walked away. If he wanted our business he could of said we can serve you here and what would you like to drink but that did not happen. We walked away and it just feels like they have the local favorites and that's all they want. Very unwelcoming, cold environment. Nice presentation just bad service. Yes he was being a jerk. Recently visited here and had the worst experience. I was told my ID was fake, so cops were called which was no problem for me at all because I KNOW it's real. Why would I have them call the cops if I knew it was a fake ID? Cops came, ran my ID through the computer and proceeded to tell the bartender that it was real.

A few days go by, I go back to get a drink and the same bartender was there along with another one. She looked at my ID for maybe 5 seconds and handed me a drink. As i'm walking out, she stops me and proceeds to tell me that she is aware she already served me and that my signature doesn't match my ID? how are you gonna tell me putting down my first and last name on the tab not match what's on my ID? AFTER knowing it's real? On top of that, why did you serve me then if you are so convinced my ID is fake? I then told her that the cops were already called and that it was not fake. She had threatened to call the cops on me if i didn't leave the property. I had told her to call the cops then because I neither said and did anything wrong!
