Hank's is consistently good. It is also consistently at least a 20 minute wait for a table if you choose to go on a weekend.

The food is on point. Each menu item is cooked to order, and is cooked right. Not cold, not burned, and full of flavor. I frequently get the biscuits and gravy with Scrambled Eggs. I don't think there is any sausage in the gravy, but I suppose that isn't a requirement. The bacon I get on the side hits the spot. Last time I was there, the coffee tasted burned. That's OK, I don't drink coffee for the flavor - if I did, I'd be at Starbucks ordering a frappuccino deluxe pumpkin spice basic beverage with soy no coffee on the rocks. So the flavor of the coffee woke me up, not the caffeine content. Nice.

The service is always great here. The group I go with is partial to the owners, they've known the family for a long time, and have been coming here since the doors opened. That's why I get to wait for a table instead of going somewhere else.

Enough Rambling.

The service - everything is efficient. They quickly shift over to a waiting list for tables, provide a good estimate of how long the wait will be, and go outside to call your name, or oftentimes they just come up to you and tell you the table is ready. Drink orders are taken, and when they are dropped off, food orders are taken. The food arrived at the same time, so there was no awkward hangry waiting for someone to get their flapjacks.

Hank's is a good place to visit. It was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives - which means in a small-ish town like Santa Rosa, means it is busy busy. I'd only make it my go-to as a Monday - Friday breakfast spot. Certainly not on...

We chose this establishment based on reviews and it came highly recommended. This review is based solely on food and half of the service.

We ordered the biscuits with gravy & one hot cake and bacon. The biscuits and gravy were not something you would write home to mother about. It could have been seasoned better and presented in a more appealing way. The bacon saved me. Cooked to perfection.

The problem child of this breakfast was the huevos rancheros. We had the huevos but where was the ranchero. Issue number one the corn tortillas were not fried and appear to be just out the package and laid down. Issue number two..the beans were not charro beans they looked like unseasoned canned pinto beans. Issue number three the salsa was not giving what it was supposed to be given no flavor no seasoning no nothing. Then lastly the ice cream scoop of sour cream destroying it all.

We requested to have the meal replaced and was met with attitude about why we sent it back and politely we stated “there is no seasoning”. We ordered another meal and were not comped for the huevos rancheros (which is fine but needed to state this just in case you think you’ll get your meal comped..you won’t.) 10/10 do not recommend and suggest you spend your money elsewhere (see my other review of the breakfast place we...

Picture it, Sunday late morning Santa Rosa. You skipped breakfast because you slept in and you are encroaching on the lunch time menu change. What do you do? Smash the play button on your shower mix and get ready so you can give in to the cheat day temptation. There was only one place that could cure this insatiable hunger. None other than Hank’s Creekside Restaurant. Wait time? Minimal, sat down two person table excellent for a weekend date. Boom bam two coffees on the table prepped and ready to order my eyes locked onto the corn beef hash Benedict. Say it with me. Corn beef hash Benedict. Sausage patty on the side. Remember I said it was a cheat day. Door swings open from the kitchen, queue Hello, by Lionel Richie. It was a slow motion masterpiece. Everything was picture perfect on my plate stacked to perfection each layer celebrating the next topped with a thick and creamy hollandaise sauce. It was love at first bite. This is the place you want go if you are a foodie like...

Quaint little eatery sits next to a beautiful creek. Parking is tight, as in not many spaces and sized for compact cars. But it will be worth it when you get a spot. Located opposite from a chain eatery, this is the place you wanna go. My server was pleasant and efficient. I had 30 minutes to get in eat and out. She got me on my way in 25. The food, absolutely delicious. I had the California Benedict. The house potates came with, grilled to perfection , onions. The hollandaise was perfect. I travel for work and hope I am back in the area so I can enjoy their cozy place again.

Visiting from Monterey, CA. Found: Hank's Creekside Restaurant (2800 4th St, Santa Rosa, CA 95405) How can I describe Hank's? In one word, EXCELLENT. The food, the service, the very clean and friendly atmosphere. Whether you are a visitor or local resident looking for a good place to have breakfast in Santa Rosa, in my opinion, you can't go wrong at Hank's. Only thing is the limited parking. Either way, still a good place to relax and enjoy good food. p.s. You've got to try the Crab Cakes Egg Benedict. Excellent. Danny B.
