Amazing food and nice, patient, and helpful staff! I had the 1/2 and 1/2 with Kalua Pork and Katsu Chicken, which comes with 2 scoops of rice and a scoop of the macaroni salad. The pork with the cabbage was fantastic, smokey and flavorful, perfect with the rice. The Katsu chicken was pretty good too, a panko coated and fried breast. I think I was supposed to order some Katsu sauce with it, but I don't know. The Hawaiian BBQ sauce made a great dipping sauce, though. My fiance got the BBQ chicken, which was good, but I was grateful I got what I did. The biggest surprise was the macaroni salad. I'm an extremely picky person when it comes to any pasta salads, and I LOVED this. I wish we weren't driving through so I could get a gallon of this stuff. I will return for this.
Covid has dining closed, masks mandatory, and you cannot help yourself, which they are very quick but polite to point out in case you're thinking of helping yourself despite the signs. The guy was great at describing the pork for me too, even talked my fiance into it.
I will be making a point to stop here the next time I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe only thing I've gotten from here are the chicken katsu burger (comes with fries) and the barbecue chicken burger (also comes with fries). The chicken katsu is alright but man oh man the barbecue chicken is delicious. Both burgers (or there are few others to choose from also) come with a hefty side of fries for only $8.55 which is a pretty good deal for how much chicken is in the burger. It's not a chicken patty, which is what I assumed it would be. It's barbecue chicken. Now that I'm typing it out, it seems obvious. But I digress. On the burger, besides the chicken, is lettuce, onions, tomato, and thousand island dressing. The chicken is cooked so perfectly. Be warned: the burger is drippy and can get messy, but it's so good. It's delicious, the fries are delicious, the staff is super friendly. Give it a try if you haven't. Maybe some day I will branch out to other menu items but the barbecue chicken burger is so good, I can't imagine going there and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is terrible! Horrible service! Dirty!!! I'm surprised people don't get sick. The chef was taking out the trash, clearing the grease and mopping. When he put down the mop he rinses his hands with cold water (no soap) and began making my food. I was not comfortable with this, so I told the girl working. She was rude and told me I was a liar. She had her back turned and couldn't see what I did! Then 20 minutes later, they said they ran out of rice and couldn't make my food. I was also on a 30 minute lunch break from work so it wasted all my time. When I got upset the young girl( half my age) gave me a lesson on what I am allowed to say when I'm mad, and told me to get out ! I guess she kinda saved me though. I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!! I suggest you don't either! Think Soup Nazi from "Seinfeld" service with McDonalds quality food ! But at least at Mickey Dees you won't get sick from dirty chef hands...
