tl;dr this shop is chopped. on some days, gutted, rotted, and even decomposing
I used to work in a tea shop, and I have conflicting feelings.
The drinks vary in quality. Some are quite good, with high quality tea (I really enjoy their assam and jasmine tea), and some are lackluster (the thai tea, the grasshopper, anything with ube). I don't think they justify their prices, but that's my personal opinion.
Service is brisk, impersonal, and inconsistent. Sometimes you get good quality drinks and service and sometimes you get multiple mistakes and subpar tea.
Lack of quality occurs most at the end of the day, when supplies are running out and quality takes a dip-- for instance, the thai tea is grainy (the dust settles to the bottom of the pitcher), drinks aren't filled all the way, boba gets squishy from sitting in its pot, and toppings are scant (the portions can be shockingly small).
I don't mean to shame the employees at all, but Teaspoon charges $7 a drink, not including tips and modifications. Your funds are best...
Read moreMy experience started right before the opening, with lots of warm welcoming and smiley faces that made me feel home. Then my orders, the taste was unbelievably amazing, fresh & the boba was WOW!
So I took another order for me, and 4 for my family to try it, and the reaction was (WE’RE DEFINITELY GOING THERE…IT’S AMAZING).
At the opening day I went there, and I fully customized my drink to have more coffee in it, and the taste was so amazing! So since I’m a heavy coffee drinker, I tried so many places with customizable drinks to add more coffee and they were ok, but at Teaspoon, they took care of my order and it was delicious.
The 3rd and 4th day I sent my family over there so they got different stuff from the menu and Teaspoon never disappointed us!
Highly recommended to go...

I've been to two Teaspoon locations and both times I left unsatisfied. The first visit, the "lid" on the Taro Lover tea I ordered was not sealed properly so when I went to place the straw into it, it broke at the seams and spilled all over the table. I brought the drink back to the counter and they only offered to reseal it. What was left of my drink was just ok, I've had better taro milk tea at other restaurants.
The second visit I ordered a fruit tea, the Paradise Lime. It was just an overpriced limeade/lemonade.
Overall, I can't justify spending near $10 after tax and tip for their beverages when I've had better tasting milk tea...
