BEWARE...As an essential employee working 6 days a week with limited shopping time I recently pulled into the Tan's Donut parking lot, they were closed and it was empty unlike the Grocery Outlets parking lot where I could not find one single space free. I ran in to do my shopping and 45 minutes later came out to find my car had been towed.    Read moreThis morning I bought a dozen donuts. After I paid, I asked if I could put some cream in my coffee cup. Thought the clerk said yes, why would he say no? I proceeded to put a small amount of creamer in my coffee and he abruptly said "I said NO!" In astonishment, I replied "Oh," and put the coffee creamer down. The other customers also looked astonished and embarrassed in that moment. I hope this young man will someday learn that kindness and customer service retains repeat customers. So long Tan's.    Read moreI visited this donut shop on the morning of July 18 in Santa Rosa. The total on the register showed $6.35, but when I paid with my card, I was charged $7.57. I don’t believe any place in California charges $1.22 in tax for a $6.35 purchase.
It seemed like the register was old and the transaction was completed using a separate small card reader. I felt something was off and I now believe this was dishonest or even fraudulent.
Please double-check your charges when paying here. I’m disappointed and hope the owners address this...
