**Edit So we decided we wanted some Mexican food the other night and stopped by. First thing I noticed was that the â$3â charge to share a plate sticker were off our menus and not on the bill this time either. Huge ++++
We enjoyed our meal and will be back.
I believe this place had great potential. The food is good. Prices are a bit too high.
I do come here often until the last time I went I realized that they started placing stickers on all the menus â +$3 to shareâ. And for that they lose a star as well as respect. Times are tough for not only businesses but also consumers right now. I take the time to come support this company but get charged and extra $3 just to share a meal with my wife. An unnecessary up charging that is down right disrespectful to the patrons supporting you and helping you stay afloat. For this we wonât be coming back to support when us as consumers arenât supported when lowering our cost to share a meal while supporting. About 12-13$ for a chicken quesadilla or chimichanga +$3 (25% the cost of the entree) for sharing really makes a difference right now in this economy. We also buy the $10 bowl of guac. After that we feel bad to take it out of the tip so the business made a bad call that takes away from the employees tips. Bad business call in my opinion.
Another star off due to finding rolled up straw wrappers under our chips in the basket. This can only happen if they are giving us another tables basket of chips that werenât finished or B they dump unused chip baskets in with the container of chips in the kitchen. Either way itâs disgusting and a big turn off with cleanliness here.
The place is outdated and needs some âTLCâ
Hours could have an hour later closing time on the weekends.
Overall they have good food but really need to work on the charging money for people to share a plate as that doesnât cost them more money so why should you charge the customer? Also fix the...
Read moreGave 2 stars because the food was good. BUT the service...We took my sister here for her graduation (we love trying new Mexican restaurants around San Diego because they really are the best). We were all dressed up for the occasion, and he flirted with her the entire time. He kept coming back to our table to "chek on her" put his hand on her back, grin at her, interrupt our conversations, etc. She was creeped out and even kept asking "Is he coming back again??" He belittled my fiance each time he said anything, and the rest of the time pretended like we weren't even there. He was constantly forgetting our food and we ended up leaving before it all came because of it. He even made my sister hug him and tried to get her number before we left. Gross? Sis didn't say much while we were there, but she was disgusted. We all felt super creeped out the entire time and will never go back. Totally ruined. Which is a shame. Cause like I said, the food is...
Read moreWell we wanted a nice meal... The male and female that were up at the front to seat people were very rude after we asked for a different table. We had 4 adults and child that needed a high chair. They were wanting to put the child at the end in the walkway....in the way. After that exchange, we were sat at our new table and didn't receive a high chair until we made ANOTHER mention of needing it. The lady then went back to the host stand and proceeds to talk about us to the male and then goes back to the back to tell our server as well. We were sat for at least 10 minutes without even being greeted by our server or have our drink orders taken. Two other parties that were sat 5 minutes after us received their drinks and had started their food orders. We still hadn't gotten any service after 20 minutes and decided to walk out.
This experience was disappointing and not at all what our past experiences have been over the 20 years we had been...
