Unfortunately worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant and I was a customer multiple times before but this will be my last and I will tell everyone I can to stay away. Beans came to the table, they were sour therefore we spoke up and sent back. We are not unfamiliar with Puerto Rican cuisine as we are from Puerto Rico, the beans were old and were sour from being old, whoever they spoke to in the back that said the beans were from yesterday LIED and if the manager would’ve tasted the beans she would’ve known. Churrasco was synthetic meat, daughter took maybe three bites out of it. My son got a simple buffalo wrap, didn't pass half of it. Wasn’t able to order ropa vieja mofongo spent $12 for a side of mofongo to order the plate of ropa vieja to make my own . Mofongo was okay, ate half. No one out of the 5 of us ate one full fourth of our plate. We were the ONLY table in there for service and food to be this way. I got the ticket and I saw it was $98 and I looked at my husband because I couldn’t believe we were going to pay almost $100 for the value of food and amount we actually ate. My daughters went to the bathroom and I knew my husband was going to pay and voice his concerns after because we aren’t upset for the bill, we will pay the bill. 75% of the food went back to the kitchen but we aren’t the type to complain to free food. My husband gives the card and after he spoke his concerns and the food. After a couple back and forth some and my husband stating it’s not about the money it’s about the service, the experience the quality and taste of the food and none of that was given today. Nothing was offered to bring a customer back for future visit. Manager says okay I appreciate it I’m going to take care of you and swipes the card. The receipt back was $95 and some change. 25% off was taken of the $6.99 special my husband got. That to me was a joke, and I felt disrespected in that moment for taking $4 off my ticket when it wasn’t about the money, so my husband looked at the receipt and she says your ticket was $100 and something right? The manager did not even look at the ticket amount to see what she was even doing and what our amount was. Not really sure what she was thinking in the moment. I go to the truck with my kids for my daughters to tell me how unbelievable the bathrooms were. I have pictures of those! I wish I had pictures of the food sent back but Honestly only edible food was tostones and yellow rice. Unfortunate and no longer recommended.

This place was such a roller coaster ride that it took a bit to write this review. I was excited to visit here, looking for a Latin place with good food. We were greeted as soon as we arrived at an odd hour (3:30 p.m.), so we were the only ones in the restaurant. Our server was very informative about everything on the menu, which was great since they offered different Latin dishes. We ordered appetizers, the Calamari (which was a very small portion) and some Maduros (sweet plantains), which were delicious, but you can’t screw up sweet plantains lol. We requested water for the table, which we had to send back because it tasted like it was straight from a garden hose, and we were shocked they would serve that to clients. The drinks were OK. They sent out a chicken soup on the house, which was delicious, and we followed up with our meal orders. Seafood Mofongo was okay. It lacked a little flavor and I had a bandeja paisa, a traditional Colombian dish. The only weird thing was that they had thin-sliced the chicharron like deli meat. We decided to order tres leches and rice pudding. I don’t know what we got but we didn’t eat it. The tres leches was mangled and looked melted and they tried to bury it with whipped cream to hide it. The rice pudding was grainy and rubbery.

This place absolutely blew us away! From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The food was phenomenal—each dish bursting with bold flavor, beautifully plated, and clearly crafted with care. You can tell the kitchen takes serious pride in their work, and it shows in every bite. But what truly made the night unforgettable was our server, Roz. She was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, striking that perfect balance of being present without ever hovering. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she made us feel genuinely welcome—like we were longtime friends instead of first-time guests. Roz has that rare ability to turn a great night into a memorable one, and she does it with such effortless charm. Add to that the incredible vibe—a perfect mix of upscale and relaxed—and it’s easy to see why LQ on Main is such a gem. This place has it all: amazing food, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that makes you never want to leave. We can’t wait to come back!

On Friday 7/22/22 around 7:30pm, my wife and I with some friends visited for the first time Latin Quarters on Main Street downtown Sarasota. Our server was Noelia and she did a great job. However, I am not a complainer but the experience with the food was not satisfying. The couple that was with us, she order Original Roast Pork and on the oval dish on the bottom found a piece of plastic 2" x 3", her husband had Ice Tea and was charged for 2 additional refills (was never informed in advance of additional charges on refill). My wife order Carne Frita and it was hard, dry and very chewy. I order a $25.00 Churrasco I was served 2 small square pieces of Churrasco meat about 4oz each) it look more like a Baby Churrasco which most latin restaurants sell for around $18.00 with chimichurri. They delivered two plates first, waited about 3 minutes for the 3rd plate and another 2 minutes for the 4th. Side order of Mofongo was to garlicky and to much olive oil. I informed Noelia the server and she commented that was going to let the Manager know of the issues. Most restaurants, Management comes around to check on customers food and service, it never happen! Need to be better organized, specially the kitchen. We will continue supporting Latin Quarters Restaurant and hope that our next experience in downtown is a better one. We usually eat out of the Beneva location and been very satisfied with their food...

My husband and I went to lunch on New Year’s Eve for the $1 Empanada Special. Diana , the Shift Manager, sat us and took our order. From the start she was unwilling to assist us and answer our questions. She was not smiling and seemed frustrated and annoyed to take our order and answer our questions. She rolled her eyes and was unpleasant. My husband inquired about the cheese empanada and she offered that he could also select the Venezuelan and Colombian cheese empanadas. She failed to mention that only the Puerto Rican Empanadas were $1 so when we got the check we were shocked to see that the Colombian and Venezuelan Empanadas were $4 each. Valeria was our server and she was very helpful and listened to our complaint and the bill was adjusted but we still had to pay $4 for the Venezuelan Empanada and $4 for the Colombian Empanada. Diana apologized but we still had to pay the bill even though we were never told that the Colombian and Venezuelan Empanadas were not part of the special. She should have said that they were not part of the Special. Diana should not be a Manager and should not be taking care of customers. Valeria on the other hand was very helpful and listened to our questions and did her best to assist us. Diana provided the worst service we’ve ever had a LQ. How in the world do you have Diana at the front...
