WOW this place is impressive. Stunned!

Mac greeted us with casual warmth. Real cool. Danielle served is with courtesy and fluid skill.

The hard, low seats (very thin padding) make butt-pain set in quickly, and the hard surfaces without sound dampening reflect noise. Except for these factors the environment/aesthetic is cozy and delightful.

When I saw the prices I was impressed (having tried other Saugatuck breakfasts). That explained why lots of older folks were here; it's the only affordable breakfast we've seen in Saugatuck. I assumed portions would be small, but nope! Omelettes are large and packed with goodies, pancakes are full-size, toast is cut thick, french toast is full-meal portion.

Real butter, good jams, and creamer are on the table which was appreciated.

We kinda tried everything. Muffin was great, both pancake types and the french toast are all excellent, bacon and eggs were cooked perfectly, loved the Denver omelette.

After gorging, drinking coffee, and taking enough home for another entire meal (for both of us) we STILL came out with a bill of just $43.

We will be eating here EVERY time we visit Saugatuck -...

I will not comment on the food. But I will say, the older man that came out of the restaurant to yell at me for taking pics of the restaurant and the flowers was very rude. I planned to take pics to share on social media and promote the restaurant and have breakfast the next morning, but needless to say this has changed my mind. He was very rude and extremely negative. Yelling at me for taking pics was completely uncalled for.

To add to this review, since I am unable to comment on a comment, I want to point out that the business response to all the “bad” comments seems to always be the same, where the business likes to put the blame on the customer.

A common thread to the negative comments is that the staff is rude. I find it interesting that when someone wants to help your business, you made it obvious that the problem is you. Sorry you can’t learn to be a happy person and appreciate help from the community. It isn’t always about the money you make but the memories created. Good luck going forward and I hope the best for you, as I feel you...

Normally I would have given this restaurant a high rating because the food and our server were both great. However, the woman working at the front counter treated us so poorly as we were leaving yesterday that I am still feeling appalled. I’m writing this 1 star review because of her. My sisters and I were wrapping up our weekend visit to Saugatuck and decided to meet here for breakfast. Near the end of our meal, our server set down our bill and said that when we were ready we could go up front to pay. We all planned to pay separately and I’ve been to restaurants where we had this same process and we could easily split the bill up front. When we went up to pay, the lady working the front counter said to my sisters and I, “you know, you really should have had your server split this for you. I don’t have time for this” and proceeded to act huffy and inconvenienced by us. I’m sorry, but I’ve worked in the food industry for years in the past and no amount of busyness justifies talking to a customer like that. Do...

We were staying nearby (iykyk), and like most hidden gems we found this place because the place we planned to go had an hour long wait. So we ended up here got sat right away and had the most peaceful relaxing breakfast on the porch. The food was delicious but im simple I had the two eggs two sausage meal. My ONLY comment was the Cottage Fries are actually chips and for the life of me scrambled eggs and potato chips . I just couldn't do it. But the stagg was kind enough to bring me a paper bag to.take them with me for later and they were great at lunch time. So if you're in the area skip the obvious option. Also my grandmother's name was Ida.

We live in Saugatuck and enjoy going for brunch occasionally. We recommend the cornmeal pancakes and blueberry muffins. The omlet/scrambles are fantastic. The winter hours significantly reduce their schedule (open Friday thru Sunday). Because it is so popular, in the summertime, you will have to wait to get in. The location, is right across the street from the water, and in summer there is lots of activity and the town is filled with love and romance. Great place to come with your loved ones. Food here is great. Must go even if you have to wait....it's worth it.

We saw this place thought to check it out. They were closed but we were checking out the space planning on having breakfast the following morning.while looking for maybe a posted menu and admiring their spring flowers the old man came out and yelled at us and was rude. We will never dine at this establishment and will be telling everyone we know to go somewhere else. Seeing other reviews it’s apparent the staff has attitude issues and are frequently rude to customers.
