Starbucks — Restaurant in Saukville

This is our go-to Bucks when heading back north from meandering about in the Milwaukee area. Unfortunately Sadness befell us today.

As usual: great atmosphere, clean store & restrooms, fabulously friendly staff. With this visit on a Saturday afternoon, the staff was hopping with what seemed to be a ton of remote orders & drive-thrus. They were cool & purpose driven. Kudos to their Professionalism, teamwork, & efficiency: worthy of a 5-Star.

However, the bottom line begins with your order. Today, ordered a Vanilla Bean Frap with an octane boosting espresso shot. It was an order-and-run as we needed to get home - easily an hour+ drive. It wasn’t until back on the Highway that we noticed that I had gotten a Strawberry Frap. Later checking my app (used for payment), I saw that it had been entered wrong at the start. It got poured out at home as no one wanted strawberry. Bummer: 1-Star for an order gone wrong.

That averages to a 3-Star...

They're very slow and often run out of certain drinks. Even when it's not busy, you can be waiting for your drink for 15 minutes. I know that running out of items happens to every location, but it happens quite often here compared to other Starbucks locations, and they're also a lot slower than other locations.

UPDATE: Eleven months after my first review. This location hasn’t gotten better. They put all their attention into the drive thru, so if you want to order inside in person, you’ll be waiting for five minutes before someone comes to the cash register, and you’ll be getting your drink twenty minutes after you placed your order, and it’s this slow even with only a few customers inside. I notice that they often underfill the tall sized hot drinks. Also, the parking lot is a mess. The parking spots are very close to the drive thru line, so if you park your car in the lot, you won’t be able to get out when the drive thru line...

Woooo. This place gets busy on the weekends. I'm talking lines all the way to the next door Walmart parking lot. Do yourself a favor. Order via the mobile app, get out of your car, walk into the store, and pick up your order. Or, be sure to listen to a good audiobook because you'll need some entertainment as you wait to get through the line.

A downside of this store is that they often are out of the vegetarian food options. Listen a gal needs her Impossible Breakfast Sandwich or Portabella Mushroom Egg Bites on Saturday mornings. Don't judge. I am who I am, and if the number of times this Starbucks is out of those options is any indication, I have got some similarly minded, animal-loving friends out there in the world.
