Disappointed, especially as a Ukrainian đ
Letâs start with a name. The last name âFrankoâ suggests already it will be related to Ukraine. The only item I found on the menu that was somehow consumed in Ukraine were crepes filled with cheese. If no Ukrainian food is offered, then why not have it as a regular coffee shop name? The price does not correlate well to the sizes of food or its quality. For $16, I can get a really delicious plate of crepes filled with lots of salmon and other ingredients, plus a side (like fruit cup or salad). At Franko & Coffee, it seems to only look like a homemade sandwich Iâd do with very little fish there. Overall, the sizes are not up to an American standard, while prices are higher than usual. The strawberry croissant looked great, but I was extremely disappointed when I got to a filling. First of all, there was just a strawberry jam and instead of fresh strawberries I got the freeze-dried strawberries. Iâd expect something more of an orange croissant we have back in Lviv Croissants (Ukrainians will get a reference) with fresh fruit and not freeze-dried. Especially for $7. đ„Č The quality of a croissant is mediocre. European bakeries wouldnât charge you as much for the croissants while having a better taste.
I wonât be coming here again unless the points mentioned above change. Not that anyone would care but I think some people will relate.
Overall, the service is okay. Not a lot of place so it feels busy. The food is mediocre and overpriced and has really little to do...

Many of the décor pieces and artisanal touches were thoughtfully sourced from Lviv, bringing an authentic piece of Ukraine right into the heart of the Bay Area.
And then thereâs the food. Frankoâs Paskha is a masterpiece. Pair up the leftovers with a homemade apricot jam and whipped cream for delicious treat. The pistachio croissants are another standout. Definitely worth a try.

Franko & Coffee is an absolute delight. The coffee is exceptional â clean, rich, and perfectly crafted. The ambiance is just as impressive. The large front windows slide fully open, creating a breezy, open-air feel that instantly reminded me of European cafĂ©s. With the beautiful Sausalito backdrop, itâs also a perfect spot for a little people-watching.
I also tried their vegan date chocolate ball â absolutely delicious and a perfect pairing with the coffee. The owner is warm and welcoming, and the staff are just as friendly.
Highly recommend stopping by if youâre in the area. Iâll definitely be back,...
