Read moreI have to admit that I was looking forward to this place for weeks now. My parents arrived from out of state and I wanted to bring them here. We came in on Saturday and arrived just before 6pm and they turned us away at the door saying they were closed already. 6pm on a Saturday is already a joke but to just turn us away seems ridiculous. However, because of the timing I took it as a lesson and took it as my fault. We came back on Tuesday to try again and this time it's 3pm on Tuesday and I checked yelp and made sure it's open. It's raining out so I fought through the traffic and made my way from San Jose. We got to the restaurant and I dropped my girlfriend at the door so she can use the restroom and stay dry while I go park the car in the rain. She gets to the door and asks to use the restroom while I'm parking and the manager turns her away and says she should go to public restroom. Now keep in mind it's raining out, the restaurant is quiet but she says that they don't have a public restroom. This is when I arrived and I tell my girlfriend to go ahead and use the restroom and I say we are getting ready to eat here and she then tells me that they are closed. At this point I'm furious as this is now twice that they closed on us. The biggest issue that truly infuriats me is the fact that they decided to close at 2:55pm on a Wednesday. When I made a comment about the fact that their page on both yelp and Google says they are open till 6pm, the manager told me that she can close anytime if she wants based on the weather. Why should I have to call a restaurant to ask if they are open during their posted times online during a non holiday day? This is horrible service and I can't believe that the GM had the audacity to turn away someone around 3pm on a Wednesday and she told me that I should have called to find out if they were open. Well I left over an hour before arriving at the restaurant and when their advertised hours are posted, I should be able to reasonably expect the restaurant to be open. On top of all of this Sandra Martinez the GM didn't even try to apologise in what should be my obvious frustration and just dismissed my comments at the door making me even more frustrated. Her customer service is horrible and her lack of accommodation and understanding to my obvious frustration. I don't feel that she should be a general manager if that's how she handles an upset customer over the fact that they close early causing a major inconvenience to potential customers and in my case a returning customer traveling from San Jose with my parents that are from...
Read moreI wish I could give this place a zero star for being the worse restaurant experience of my life. My boyfriend and I tried this place a few months back and we enjoyed the burgers. Therefore, when his parents came to visit us from Maryland, we thought we'd like them to try out this place. So on Saturday night we drove all the way from San jose to this place in traffic and got there by 5:55 PM when they told us that the restaurant is closed. We were disappointed of course, cause we were so looking forward to bring his parents to this city and this place. We drove in traffic from SJ again a few days later on Tuesday, and made sure we check the closing hours which was 6 PM. We got there at 2:55 where the Lady who was at the door told us they are closed. My boyfriend embarrassed enough for attempting twice now to bring his parents here on their visit and this time there was no valid excuse. Main part of my job is customer service, and we get unhappy clients all the time. I know well when someone is unhappy for a valid reason, giving attitude and being extremely mean to that client won't make the situation better. Therefore when my boyfriend got upset and asked for explanation that why their website says 6pm and they closed at 2:55 PM, Sandra Martinez who called herself the GM, handled the situation in extremely unprofessional way, calling my boyfriend jackass infront of his parents, taking pictures of us and calling cops, and telling us they can close the store anytime they want despite of what they published on their online pages. I mean a family of four which two of them are old, how on earth a so called manager can let herself behave to them like this. This is so unprofessional business, and definitely I'll remember this disaster for a long time, since I was still shaking for her crazy attitude for hours later that night. A good Customer service is more important than food or any other...
