Let me just start off by saying that I found this place because my mother, my father, and I were all hangry as all hell. We argued over where to eat for 30 minutes, so I started looking up places to eat while we were driving. I found this place and gave them an ultimatum: eat at this Thai place or eat some crappy fast food on the way back. My parents reluctantly entered this restaurant. Let me tell you, hangry asian parents are the literal worst to deal with. My father is extremely picky with restaurants; he only eats at restaurants that are kept very clean and have A+ customer service. He is a picky eater and has very high expectations for any asian restaurant. My mother on the other hand has a restrictive diet and is also a bit of a picky eater. I came to this restaurant half expecting that my parents would chew me out later for picking such a horrible place. However, this restaurant blew me away. Not only was this restaurant SUPER clean, but the service was excellent. The tables were spotless and the carpet we’re crumbless Whenever we needed something, the owner and the hostess were around to help us. And now, the food. My god, this food was an actual orgasm in my mouth. When people say foodporn, this place is the textbook definition of it. All of the food we ordered was DELICIOUS. From the chicken satay to the tom yum soup, everything was the perfect spice level and perfectly seasoned. The presentation was beautiful as well. Even Gordon Ramsay would instagram his meal. Not only is this some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had, but it was also super affordable. Great value for the amount of food given. Everything about this restaurant is amazing. So amazing that it managed to satisfy the most picky Chinese parents. Thank you for reading this review, and shoutout to the owner for...
Read moreJojo's Thai Kitchen is a small humble resturant, yet they are eager to make a name for themselves. Although I would assume that they do most of their business in their takeout orders because of the amount to people that came in to pick up their orders, both their resturant service and atmosphere is over the top. The light and airy art & decor gives those dining a refreshing and untraditional experience of dining Thai, moving away from more formal and dark atmosphere that is commonly found in all Thai and Asian resturants. The food was served on time, and the service was immaculate, given that the servers didn't have many tables to attend to. As for the main couse, the food tasted very delicious, and I personally recommend the sesame chicken. I also highly appreciated that each dish had a perfect amount of very fresh vegetables to accompany the meal with, making the meals healthier. I was full after my course as it was a big portion, and didnt even check to see if they had a desert option, so I can not review that. Overall I have no complaints! It was very nice to support a small business and I would highly...
Read moreOrdered takeout from here on the first night of our vacation and what an awful start to the week. Clearly, we got food from a different kitchen than anyone giving this place 5 stars, or these other people are nuts. To describe the food as “not good” would be a massive understatement. We ordered Pad See Ew, Drunken Noodle and Mango Curry (provided pictures). The drunken noodles and mango curry were edible, but just barely and only if you were desperately hungry - definitely not good. Repeat, NOT good. However, I had to throw the Pad See Ew in the garbage - it was disgusting. It smelled like boiled brussel sprouts and tasted as bad - and I’m too old to waste my time eating garbage like that. When we got home from vacation, I made Pad See Ew with fresh noodles (provided a picture of that too) to satisfy my craving that Thai restaurants near Portland couldn’t satiate. But of anywhere we ate on vacation, this was by far the absolute worst. P.S. Carrots in Thai food is just cheap filler -...
