Denny's — Restaurant in Schaumburg Township

If i could rate 0 or negative o would. First my husband went at 12:45 Am waa told we can't cook because we close kirchen between 1-5 every night. Then you're not 24 hours and you should change your signs. Then we go back the next night Janely the server seats us and asks if we wanted drinks. I ordered a chocolate shake and water was told oh the shake machine is broke. We should have left then. Let me state there were maybe 5 tables in restaurant. I went to bathroom came back and we sat 8 minutes before she came to take orders. Our food was served and we didn't see Janely again until I asked for a box and the check. While a eating Alendra comes in with her child who starts running around the restaurant and in the maybe 10 minutes they were there our server Janely played with this child several times. What really shocked me was that Alejandra walks by with a shake for anothrr guest. We go to pay the check and ask Alejandra if shake machine was working and if they are 24 hours she says I wasn't your server so it's not my problem. She says yea they are open 24 hours and she doenst know why someone told my husband that. My husband got angry with her body language and tone and told her we are both in management and the first thing you should do is apologize and say let me get a manager Her response you didn't ask for one. So we ask for one mind you there is maybe a 5or 6 yr kid running around the restaurant the entire time. The manager comes up and we explain the situation. This is where it gets really disappponting. Dawn apologized explained they were cleaning the hoods prior night and she had been made aware of the guest coming in and getting angry about them not bring open. We asked for the restaurant manager information, and as Dawn is trying to handle the situation Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dom and the kid are running around the register talking about us in Spanish not knowing we understand. Dawn tells them let me handle this and go back to work. They start dancing singing and laughing and every time we said something to Dawn they kept talking over manager and would not leave the front. My husband makes a statement he didn't know children were allowed to run around a restaurant Alejandra starts yelling what you say about my kid.Now we understand that she waa there momentarily untildad picked her up, however she should have been sitting down in a booth not running in and around kitchen restaurant, and staff carrying her in their backs instead of working Dawn was a great person, and she probably needs her job, but she is going to allow two people who dont care about their own jobs let alone hers, cost her a job. Don't go here unless you want to be...

The last time I was at a Denny's was about a decade ago and I remember it being greasy, sad food that you ate when you were drunk late at night. We visited this Denny's recently and there seems to be quite a turn around in quality. We came on a Saturday early afternoon and the restaurant was busy but there was no wait to be seated. Our server was great and was quick to take our orders despite how busy it was.

We order two everyday value slams which for $7 a piece is a lot more food than it seems like it was going to be. The pancakes were fluffy and a good size. The eggs were cooked perfectly, I always order them medium well. And the sausage and bacon were also delicious and not greasy.

We came on empty stomachs and definitely left full. The best part was it cost under $30 including a tip for our server. We don't go out for breakfast very often but we're definitely going to keep this Denny's in our list for...

I usually don't write these reviews but this Dennys had the worst service and the worst hygiene. Our server, Maryah, was nice but not attentive. It seemed like she didnt want anything to do with us. After she served us our food, she never came back to check on us until it came time for the bill. I needed a refill but she never asked until we were ready to leave. Another waitress, didn't catch her name, was singing obnoxiously loud, dancing, fixing her hair by the food and talking about a bad smell in the back room. It was just very unprofessional. It felt like all the servers were acting like they were on their break. The table that we were sat down at was dirty both on the table top and the floor. Leftover spaghetti, French fries, cracker wrappers were all over. When it came to the food, it was your typical Dennys experience. That is the one positive feedback I can give about this...
