I visited this restaurant for the first time for lunch and placed my order over the phone. The associate who took my order had a bit of a language barrier, which made it difficult to clarify whether rice was included with the entrees. Some Indian restaurants, including one nearby, require you to purchase rice separately, so I wanted to make sure I had just the right amount—not too much, but also not none at all. The associate told me rice was not included.
I was quoted a 25-minute wait time, so I arrived at the restaurant exactly 25 minutes later. The restaurant was empty, and there was no one at the front to greet me. After calling out “hello?” a few times with no response, I decided to call the restaurant. I could hear the phone ringing inside, and after a while, an associate finally appeared and told me there would be a wait. I then waited an additional 20 minutes in the empty restaurant before finally receiving my meal.
When I got home, I opened my order and found three containers of rice—despite being told it wasn’t included. So just a heads-up: rice does come with your meal, and there’s no need to order extra. Unfortunately, I ended up wasting money on unnecessary rice.

Why would the waiter turn the point of sale screen for an additional tip if automatic gratuity has already been added to the check? Very disingenuous. It also took me writing a bad review for them to offer a refund, because when I called they refused to make this right. Thankfully my credit card issued a full refund. Think twice before coming here. Food is not great and service is worse.
The opposite of "royal"- who wants to dine under bright fluorescent lights and huge flat screen tvs? I digress, because this is the least of Royal Dine's problems. The main reason for this review is how scammy they are in adding an 18% gratuity tip to your bill without providing an itemized receipt. When one goes up to the counter to pay, they don't mention this and you tip again, resulting in a 40% tip for the most subpar service you'll ever receive.
Upon calling them in an effort to rectify the situation, they refused to refund the duplicate tip. No problem, I will dispute it with my credit card company and will never return.
