Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers is a pretty good go-to and most locations are predictably good at this point. The perfectly cooked burgers, crispy sides, and attentive service make this spot worth visiting. This particular spot also has a Tesla Superchargers right next to it making it an easy place to stop in while charging. This visit I went for the All American Burger, ordered medium. It arrived exactly as requested with a perfect pink center. The burger was well-seasoned and juicy, delivering that classic American burger experience you'd expect from a place with "Cheeseburgers" in its name. The onion rings deserve special mention. They strike that perfect balance of being crispy without crossing into greasy territory. Each ring maintained its structure, avoiding that common pitfall where the onion slides out of the breading on the first bite. While I didn't partake during this visit, it's worth noting their impressive beer selection. The menu features a variety of options, including several local craft brews, living up to the "Cold Beers" portion of their name. The service was notably attentive, though I visited during a quiet late lunch period around 2 PM. The staff remained engaging despite the low-key atmosphere. While there are several locations now, if you visit this particular location, I hope you enjoy as much as I always do!

First time here, ordered the All American 1/2 lb cheeseburger on Wheat served with a cold Hazy IPA (Space Dust); Sara at the bar is outstanding. She helped me decide what beer to try and the gentleman to my left helped back her up on the recommendation. This tells me, her service and the atmosphere she helps facilitate at the restaurant, is so positive that two complete strangers can bond over beer & food and that's the whole point of a great restaurant. Fantastic job, Sara, and fantastic food, thank you Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers! Yes, pic of an empty platter CAUSE I DOMINATED THAT BURGER LOL

Restaurant was not busy on a Friday night so you would expect great service. No, no urgency by waitress. Appetizer - pretzels & cheese was excellent but cheeseburgers not cooked as requested. “PINK” was completely cooked so our friends both complained, remade both burgers and still over cooked. Waitress or Manager never asked about 2nd burgers and I don’t think they cared. Did not pick up plates when we were finished or ask for beer refills. Water was not refilled. Just don’t understand as the restaurant was so empty. Will NOT be returning to this location.

Let me start by saying I’ve come to terms with the fact that eating out these days means dropping $70 on a beer, a lemonade, some wings, mac n’ cheese, and fries (or at least the idea of fries). What I haven’t come to terms with, however, is the consistently lackluster service at Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers.

Living close by, we’ve given this place a fair shot—about a dozen times, to be exact. But each visit seems to reinforce the same pattern: It’s like the staff had a group vote and declared enthusiasm 'optional,' while good service wasn’t even on the agenda.

Take tonight, for example. We waited nearly 10 minutes just to get acknowledged, and by then, we were ready to order. Drinks arrived at a decent pace, and most of the food followed suit. But the kicker was that my daughters’ fries never showed up. Not a huge deal to rectify, right? Except no one—not a single soul—checked on us until we were done eating. By then, the kids were staring at empty plates and we were all staring at even emptier cups, wondering where their fries had vanished to.

When we finally flagged someone down, the fries finally arrived, but the enthusiasm (and any semblance of an apology) did not. No drink refills (they did manage to remove empty beverages – full points for pre-bussing for the next group), no “sorry about that,” just a shrug and a “here you go.” And just to be clear—yes, we paid full price for the meal. No adjustments, no comps, not even a token gesture to make up for the mishap. Full freight, zero recognition.

Look, I get it—mistakes happen. Servers get in the weeds. Kitchen staff can get behind. But when the experience is poor over and over again, it’s not a hiccup in the process that day or a single incident relegated to one individual, it’s a negative pattern; it’s a vibe. And the vibe here seems to be “We don’t really care if you have a good experience.”

Challenges always arise in restaurants and bars, but what sets good places apart from the bad is how they deal with those challenges.

It’s a shame because this place has a cool atmosphere and is super convenient for us. But until the service steps up to match the prices, I’ll be taking our business elsewhere—somewhere that actually remembers the fries. I still got love for ya’, my local Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, but you...

I called to place a to go order, the girl on the phone was very nice but a new employee and needed help so she called the manager over. She ran my credit card and said it was declined. It is not possible for that card to be declined as there is a $100K limit on it. My card was declined because she typed the number/exp date in wrong. She asked the manager if he could help her run my card again. First he said no because it was declined and the girl on the phone said that I wanted to try a different card (she did not put me on hold and I could hear their entire conversation as she could hear me speaking to her while she was speaking to her manager) I said, “I do not want to run a different card. There is nothing wrong with this card! The number or expiration date was clearly typed in wrong” The manager then replied to her in an aggravated manor, “We will run a different card ONE more time but if it doesn’t go through I’m not doing it again for her!” The girl was obviously doing it incorrectly because it didn’t go through again. Once I got to the restaurant, the same card magically worked! I think she was just nervous because her manager was completely rude to her and the customer and to be honest, I think she was afraid of him. EXCUSE ME?! I have worked in the restaurant/bar business for over 20 years!! That is NOT how you speak to or treat customers! This manager is complete garbage!! DO BETTER COLD BEER AND CHEESEBURGERS!!

Side note, my Cobb salads were made with Feta cheese and not bleu cheese and the dressing was a raspberry vinaigrette and not a plain vinaigrette that I requested

This is for the Shea Blvd location in Scottsdale Also this was Tuesday night (01/02/2024) and the...

Went mid afternoon, had Samantha as a server. She was horrible. Constantly had us waiting all we ordered was a burger and fries, bill came out to $36. I asked about a 2 dollar up charge and she was not nice at all about it. I overheard her talking to another server and she was saying how she was talking to some guy in the back. Went in for a quick burger and fries, took over an hour. Our last spot to eat before we flew out and it was such a horrible experience. Literally almost walked out multiple times. Almost walked out after waiting 15 minutes to be asked what drinks we wanted, almost walked out while waiting another 10 minutes for a soda and water to come out meanwhile multiple servers were coming back n forth except our server disappeared. We ordered our food and it took 30 minutes to cook one cheeseburger with no condiments and fries, then we waited excessively long time for the bill then had to wait again to ask about a 2 dollar charge and being I did not eat the side items she would of taken the charge off except she gave me an attitude like I was supposed to know. I told her just please run my card and come right back because it's already been over an hour and I have things to do. I wish we had a better dining experience before we flew out of town. Honestly thinking of calling management because I have never been through something so ridiculous. Beware avoid this place if you're looking for...
