Dessert in Desert — Restaurant in Scottsdale

My family and I are just here for a vacation, so we stopped by for a quick desert. I ordered a strawberry parfait. About 5 minutes later, a strawberry ice cream with strawberries comes out. The guy serving made eye contact with me, said “it’s ready”, called me over, gave it to me and showed me where the spoons were. Obviously I think it’s mine. Another girl came in to get her order, and he immediately started to yell at me that I took the wrong one. He completely embarrassed and berated me in front of my family and other customers. It was 100% his fault and I didn’t know any better. He then aggressively told me to keep it, and when my parfait came out, said “Here’s the right one.” He never apologized to me and apologized to the other customer as if he was apologizing for my bad behaviour like I purposefully took her food. I’m literally 16, 5’1, and a grown man yelled at me for something I didn’t do at all. I work in customer service and it is 1) not that much of an inconvenience and 2) completely his fault and he should have owned up to what he did. It took them about 2 minutes to make a new one. Even when customers are rude I never speak to them the way he talked to me. I didn’t even even anything wrong. He had me completely humiliated and it wasn’t extremely...

What a great new find. Currently it is take out only so be prepared to eat the ice cream quickly...which won't be a problem because it is delicious! The soft serve ice cream comes in cool flavors like taro and mango. I tried 2 Tayakis which are the fish waffle-thingies filled with custard and red bean. My family doesn't eat a lot of sweets and we loved that everything was delicious but not too sweet. The fish are soft crunchy on the outside and chewy, pillowy on the inside (like the texture of pao de queijo or Birch Benders pancakes so thinking it has something like cassava in it). They also have colored waffle cones.

I was told that it's an Asian fusion dessert place with some Japanese and Korean influences. They had some fun K-pop on the TV and they did a great job with keeping everything clean and sanitary in the age of Covid.

We were really happy to find this place since my daughter got braces and was craving soft serve ice cream that was a step above fast food joints. We are already planning our next visit and look forward to trying their cheesecake...

The Strawberry Egg Waffle was the star of the show but everything we tried was tasty, fun, fresh,and yummy. It's all pretty standard flavors that you'd expect with nothing too out of the ordinary for what we chose. Definitely enjoyed the experience and would try it again if in Scottsdale. I would ask for more strawberries for the egg waffle since we ran out by the last 3rd of the dessert but otherwise pretty cool place to stop in for a date, friend gathering, or a kid-friendly stop in.
