New York Bagels 'N Bialys - Shea — Restaurant in Scottsdale

I have ordered from this place several times, since there isn’t a plethora of decent deli food in az. I am an east coast Jew... so I know my deli food. Worst chopped liver on the planet and I LOVE chopped liver. It was dry and flavorless. Bagels are just ok, nothing to go crazy about. Whitefish is just ok.. I have had way better even in Arizona and what you get vs what you pay should be illegal. Online ordering menu (door dash etc) is glitchy , and does not always accurately describe what is actually included in meal. Due to this .. (we will call it an oversight), my order was delivered incorrectly. Called and they apologized but said nothing they could do on their end. Called door dash and had it redelivered, same incorrect order. In all fairness, it was the way the menu was translated onto the door dash site. So that I consider a wash because it’s not their fault specifically. But how I was treated the second time calling was getting hung up on. Fortunately, door dash refunded the full amount. I do not recommend and will not be reordering. Unfortunately the food just isn’t up to par with my standards. Chompies simply is better and they will get my business...

My friend and I came here for lunch on a Sunday. I've been wanting to try this place for so long, every time we pass in on our way to Total Wine, but is always closed the times we are there. Finally, the moons all lined up! Atmosphere is a very deli like feel. You can dine in, takeout and shop. We were greeted and seated. The help is very inconsistent, waited a bit till Alexa to come over to us, had to ask for water refill, not checking on us while dining or acknowledging us when we were clearly finished, and waiting for a take home container and the bill. She seemed to have too many large group tables to wait on. The menu is extensive but lack the one item I really wanted, Chopped Liver. LOL what New York Style deli doesn't have Chopped Liver?

We ordered a Regular Pastrami Sandwich on Rye with a side of Home Fries, a Reuben with a side of Potato Pancake. The sandwiches were good, the Home Fries were excellent. The potato pancake was horrible, an oily deep fried dense potato disk. I'm glad I was finally able to try this place.

Okay so honestly the bagels will not terrible. However adorable young blonde haired lady behind the counter suggested that quote The Establishment is the provider of bagels for the other chain around the valley called Chubbies while this may or may not be true I don't disagree as the Chompies Bagels that I have had are much much better. The service was New Yorker one upon first being that by agreeing to eat rescue described him this way older gal that appear to be in charge of the establishment asked what I might like no notice of the fact that was my first time there or help to describe what they served or prices. She then waited for another customer to step in front of me and hurt her before me once again I have them now to see that I was taking care of.
